A nine month odyssey - 2008 Honda Accord
By Finally - December 15 - 1:06 pmAfter approx. 9 months with a 2007 Camry LE, I found the car I thought I bought. The 2008 Accord EX (no V6) is as perfect as a car can get under $30,000. Where Toyota dropped the ball on the 07 Camry, Honda picked it up and has a brilliant car. I cannot find any fault whatsoever with the EX performance - tight but very positive, smooth, exactly responsive steering, and the suspension like the rock of Gibraltar, barely transmitting bumps on the road, but not too soft or teeth-jarring like sport suspensions. The acceleration of the EX I4 puts the Camry V6 to shame.

Great Car - 2008 Honda Accord

One Major Complaint - 2008 Honda Accord
By Betty - December 5 - 5:56 pmAs an owner of 2 Honda Civics, one sporty and one hybrid I knew I wanted a Honda to replace my 6 year old Volvo. After researching the Accord sedan, CRV and Accord 2-dr coupe and then after driving them, the choice for comfort, features and function was the Accord 4 door sedan. Its a nice luxury car thats not stuffy. In a cost per feature comparison, it outdoes its counterparts the CRV and 2 door coupe. The first 3 days of ownership saw me driving in heavy rain and sleet. It was nice to have this car with its traction control just overall great handling. The only choice to be made on this car is which color to choose.. See my ONE complaint later in the review...

Very pleased - 2008 Honda Accord

Driving this car is simply effortless - the engine is smooth and responsive, the steering is perfectly tight without feeling heavy, and the suspension handles corners well without feeling harsh over bumps. Ive made several 3+ hour trips with it and never felt worn out like I did with my previous car (a Pontiac Grand Prix).

The EX-L comes with many standard options that make you feel like youre driving a luxury car. Overall very happy with the car, plus I have been asked many times about it on the street. People just look at and smile!

Top of the heap - 2008 Honda Accord
By The Car Guy - November 5 - 2:13 amExcellent car! Have put on 6000 miles, so far, very good. Smooth, not as loud as some indicated. 4 cyl 190 HP engine, best in class. Very good mileage, getting about 28 mpg combined highway, and I have a heavy foot. Drives more like a BMW, but a fraction of the cost. Loaded with just about everything you think of. Past Honda Accord driver, no doubt, this is the best they produced. Very tight, runs great, very comfortable to drive. Compared to many sedans in this market, and all are very good cars. The accord comes out on top.

By Morphie - November 3 - 4:30 amWe bought the Coupe for my daughter (graduating from a Civic); My intention was to get a reliable, attractive vehicle that she would like and that my wife and I might occasionally use. What I did not expect was to start to covet the Accord. It is one of the few cars we have had that turns heads (red, black interior). Its build quality is at least equal to our last three Audis (A6s, avant=wagon) and superior to our Subaru Outback. Because of fuel prices, I elected to get the 4; it is excellent. 190 hp and superior gas mileage. With the exception of a minor paint issue, the quality control, both aesthetic and mechanical, is first rate. Honda is a world class engineering company.

By A - October 31 - 7:20 pmJust purchased 08 Accord EX-L w/ Navi for just over invoice. Got lots of quotes from other dealers before I got the price I wanted. Love everything about the car and can only hope my wife lets me drive it more often.

Honda Gets It Right - 2008 Honda Accord

From the interior finishes to the flawless way the V6 engine moves from 6 to 3 to 4 back to 6 cylinder operation. This vehicle has all the pep to move with the best of them on the interstate and still provide the gas mileage we need with high prices at the pump. Honda seems to have thought of everything by packing the Accord with every imaginable feature including XM radio that the Toyota dealer wanted $700 for to install in a new Camry I have driven the Accord on an interstate and the acceleration to merge was immediate without the hesitation I found when test driving a Camry 6 cylinder. 2008 Car of the Year!

Impressed - 2008 Honda Accord
By Bug4 - October 15 - 9:03 pmPicked up my silver EX-L with black leather and a spoiler last weekend. I love it! Im a fan of the exterior styling, but what most impresses me is the interior and the way the car drives. The interiors design, looks and quality have grown on me since I first drove the car. The automatic transmission is smooth and very predictable. I hate auto trannys, but think Im going to be able to live with this one. I love the responsiveness of the throttle. The cars handling is very competent and even a little sporty when you push it. After looking at almost every car on the market under $35k, I think this is the best bang for the buck - certainly not perfect-but a very nice car for the money!
