Pros:
  • Powerful and fuel-efficient engines, ample passenger space, balanced approach to handling and ride comfort, striking coupe styling.
Cons:

  • Great Value - 2008 Honda Accord

I have an Audi A6 and Jetta. Jetta was my commute car but after 165K, decided for a equivalent fun commute car. The V6 is great, amazing stereo, navigation is outstanding. It has enough room to fit a car seat and have two people comfortable in the back. The only drawback is that my car vibrates at around +60mph. I will be taking it back to the dealer - dont know if it is wheels or engine. The ride is not smooth - the main purpose I bought the V6 was for a comfortable ride and to avoid frequent trips to dealership for fixes and repairs. Will have to wait and see how Honda service measures up against the Audi and VW which were very dissapointing. All in all, we love the V6 with Navi

  • Cabin noise - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

A lot of cabin noise. Front side pass. door panel make noise(s). Glove door panel rattles. Something in the driver panel makes a spingy noise (kinda like a PC hard drive running). Other then weird noise. everything else is pretty good. Dealer service department told me that there are other Accord 08 are having the same problem.

  • The coupe should have worn an Acura badge - 2008 Honda Accord

OK, compared to some cars, it may seem underpowered, but the reward comes at the fuel pump. Fun is still a standard feature with the Manual Transmission. Absolutely no regrets here. Got my Acura CL without the high price...

  • VCM ruins it - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I am so disappointed in this car. The VCM system has basically ruined what would otherwise be an exceptional car. Contrary to what Honda says, the VCM transitions are NOT seamless, and IS noticeable to the passengers. I am not optimistic about Honda fixing this, and am ready to take a loss intrading the vehicle in on something different with only a few hundred miles on it. My 07 Accord V-6 is a vastly superior vehicle.

  • Not Impressed With The "08" Accord - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

The 2008 Accord is not the same Accord that past Accord owners have come to love. I am not impressed with the build quality or the very loud 4-cyl engine. The interior on the EX model looks cheap like something you would expect from a $12,000 American car. I did however like the looks of this car as it has nice clean lines and looks really sharp but I could not believe how bad the new accord drove and how cheap the car felt. I think for 25,000 you are better off looking into the Camry, Sonata or Altima. Honda take note your flagship Accord has been surpassed by Toyota, Nissan, and even Hyundai has you beat.

  • Nice car - 2008 Honda Accord

Luxury on a budget. Lots of little nice touches. Nice standard options package. Nice interior. Fun to drive. Solid grip on road in snow/ice.

  • Saved A Life - Literally - 2008 Honda Accord

A great car for teens. My brother, an 18 year old, was traveling at 40 mph down a road. Someone ran a stop sign in a large SUV going around 60 mph and they both plowed into each other. Both cars were totaled, but the Honda was so safe that no one inside was injured. The car never had a problem, mechanically or otherwise. It was well priced and drove well. It had a smooth ride and had great pickup. A real head turner. On the inside, it was for the most part comfortable and luxurious. We are going to buy Honda for life because of our excellent experience with the car. It saved a teens life. When the police arrived, they thought it was fatal. Note: incredibly easy to park.

  • Great car, but Id go with Acura - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased this car in January of 08. The pros: Stunning good looks. People everywhere tell me it looks like a BMW 6 series coupe. Great pick up (V-6 Version) and good handling. User friendly interior design. Cons- Doors seem light and flimsy when you shut them. Some small, but annoying rattles when you drive. New brakes squeak when slowing down. The VCM (Variable cylinder management) seems to lurch forward when the Economy mode kicks in and out of operation. Overall a great car. Its a Honda. However, being a previous Acura TL owner, Id cough up the extra $3-5K and get the Acura over the Honda, especially over the sedan Honda. The Honda coupe is sharp- Get the V-6 though!

  • am I missing something? - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

As a previous 05 v6 EXL owner I was excited when I first saw the new 08 Accords. We purchased a V6 EX-L after a 3 minute test drive as our replacement "beater/mileage drive to the city car" (My signifacant other and I also drive an 08 BMW535xi and an 07 E350) For slightly under $28K this new Accord sucks! Road noise on even the slightest bumps, uncomfortable ride, hollow tin-ny sounding and poor material quality on the interior. We have been huge fans of the Accords since the 86-89 series and feel this is by far the worst example and no doubt our last. I know we cant compare to our other cars but this car has really gotten "cheap" feeling. This car is not a keeper for us.

  • Excellent value - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my first Accord and I think it is a great value. I have had other Hondas - the old Prelude and the Acura Legend. They were all very reliable as I expect this one to be. This Accord drives like my old Prelude and is quite fun to drive. It is noisier than my Lexus LX but not more so than my Town and Country Limited or my old Mercedes E. It gets good mileage on HWY = 30 but mediocre on local = 21. Everything else is great in the car for the amount of money paid.
