Overview & Reviews
Honda Accord has been fully redesigned for 2008. It's bigger and roomier. New four- and six-cylinder engines are not only more powerful, they either match or surpass their predecessors in terms of fuel economy.
- Powerful and fuel-efficient engines, ample passenger space, balanced approach to handling and ride comfort, striking coupe styling.

Very Disappointed - 2008 Honda Accord
By kmw - April 16 - 7:36 amI bought this car with such high hopes but so far all I have is buyers regret. The interior has loud vibrating squeaking rattles coming from the glove box. Even while on a perfectly paved road the rattling noise from the glove box is so bad it drowns out the stereo and I have to drive the car with the glove box open to stop the rattle. I returned the car to the dealer and all they did was drive the car around the block and tell me there is no rattle. My guess is they dont have a clue on how to go about fixing it. Also driving over 70 mph produces loud wind noise. Everything else such gas mileage, handling, stereo system is fine but it doesnt make up for the loud rattles and wind noise.

3 week review!!! - 2008 Honda Accord
By 1st Impression - April 10 - 9:43 pmIve had the car for three weeks now and in mixed driving Im averaging 25 mpg. Overall I like the car and dont regret buying it. Its reasonable comfortable and very roomy. The engine is a little harsh sounding. I feel a lot of vibration on the steering wheel when Im on the highway. The stereo is typical Honda which isnt saying much. The dash is nice but the plastics seem on the cheap side. No outside temp gauge, my fathers toyota corolla has that. One thing I really like about this car is the bodystyle. I really think Honda hit a homerun with it, very classy but sporty at the same time.

EX I4 Nice package but its not right - 2008 Honda Accord
By D. Turner - March 9 - 4:50 pmI am really trying to like this car and got into a 4cyl for the value. I am now regretting my decision since this car is getting difficult to live with on a daily basis. I drive a lot. I now have 14K miles on the car which was purchased in January. I spend a lot of time with it. So here it is: The 2.4L in the EX is the nosiest engine I have ever had. Although it has good power the refinement sucks. I originally thought it was the PS pump but 2 of those later the thing is still whirring and whining. My neighbor has a Ford Fusion 4 and its significantly quieter than this engine. Its almost embarrassing driving such a nice car around a parking lot and have it sound like a high mileage beater.

Great but disappointing - 2008 Honda Accord
By wfpalacio - January 27 - 4:13 amHonda Accord EX-L 4cyl Auto is my first Honda purchase. Enjoyable to drive, fuel economic, and handles well. I have been driving it for 2 weeks now. 1 week within ownership my driver side mirror started with a quarter inch crack that grew to 3 inches. I showed it to the dealer, they are quick to believe that an object hit it or somebody bumped it and is not covered by any warranty, however no scratch, starring, or chipping indicating foreign object hit or bump. The explanation is hard to believe leading me to believe that Honda uses substandard parts, I wonder what part will break next. I chose Honda over Volvo S60 because of reviews and over all cheaper. Now, I got substandard cheap.

Building Fuel Efficient Cars? - 2008 Honda Accord
By Mike - December 18 - 9:46 pmThe Accord is indeed a nice car. Very disappointed in mileage. Nowhere near the mileage the sticker shows. Only getting 21 MPG on highway while driving speed limit. I also have a Honda Odyssey that "implied" I could get 29 MPG. I can only get 22 MP. Both vehicles are the 6cyl with the VCM. I think Honda needs to correct this. One of the driving factors for the purchase was the fuel economy. Outside of that, the car is excellent.

Long in the Tooth - 2008 Honda Accord
By hyampols - October 31 - 10:43 pmWhen I first purchased the Accord in the fall of 2007, I gave it a glowing review, noting that Accord had a perfect balance of quality, value and sportiness. After nearly a year of ownership, the car seems to be getting long in the tooth. Yes, it is roomy, has a nice interior, silky smooth engine, good transmission and direct steering. Yet, the Accord seems to lack that spark posessed by its predecessor. From the hard and uncomfortable driver seat, excessive body roll, several rattles in the interior and intrusive road noise, the vehicle just does not strike a chord (n.p.i) with me. In fact, I find my 2006 Civic Ex w/Nav to be a better built, more comfortable and more engaging car.

Great Car - Horrible Gas mileage - 2008 Honda Accord
By Bo - September 3 - 8:36 amThe car is great. It looks and drives very well. Comfort inside is better than expected. Worst issue is Gas Consumption, this thing averages 18 MPG for city and hwy combined. This is with normal driving . Honda does not care or want to do anything about it. So beware, if you are trading in your V8 for a mileage vehicle, this is not it in my case.

Brakes - 2008 Honda Accord
By Ken - August 15 - 10:10 amI was just informed that I will need new rear brakes. The car just has 25K; they ought to go over 40K. The dealership I took the car to told me I was told that they are seeing cars needing brakes in 15K miles. My driving is mostly highway which probably accounts for the fact that I got more. I cannot imagine that Honda was unaware of this problem. Unfortunately I bought a 2009 EX-L Honda Accord before I became aware of the problem. Honda needs to correct it immediately and reimburse customers for any repairs. If they do not correct the problem, I plan on telling everyone I know about it and recommending that they not buy the car.

First New Car - 2008 Honda Accord
By Anthony - July 29 - 8:13 amI just bought this car in July (2008) and overall it is a beautiful car. It has nice styling resembling that of a BMW, with the hofmeister kinked window line, uncurved rear door outline, and bold lines. Its a comfortable ride and is very high quality. However, right after I bought it, my brakes were making a rumbling sound/feel, so I took it to the dealer and they installed new rear rotors under warranty. That just didnt seem right to me for a new car to have such an issue. Overall its a great buy for a family or individual who needs the space. The car is pretty large and bulky, though Thats not necessarily a bad thing.
