Overview & Reviews
Honda Accord has been fully redesigned for 2008. It's bigger and roomier. New four- and six-cylinder engines are not only more powerful, they either match or surpass their predecessors in terms of fuel economy.
- Powerful and fuel-efficient engines, ample passenger space, balanced approach to handling and ride comfort, striking coupe styling.

Almost Perfect - 2008 Honda Accord
By Cucamarimba - May 14 - 11:20 pmFirst Honda and it is no disappointment. Rides and handles very well, goes where you aim it with a very, very smooth transmission. Not what I would call exciting to drive, but very nice to drive. Interior and exterior design is attention getting. More than enough power to do what you need and lots of luxury features. Quality seems to be top notch in general. It is not broken in yet (only had it a week) and it is getting over 27 mpg combined. For me it was the best combination of price, fuel economy, power, handling and styling. Other cars in the class are kind of boring.

Disappointed Buyer - 2008 Honda Accord
By Z. Dollar - May 3 - 3:53 pmPurchased car with only 31 miles. Two weeks later car was having a new steering column replaced. A week later rear of car was vibrating when I drive speeds that exceeded 40 miles per hour. Took car back to dealer. Something had to be repaired in truck area to stop vibration. Two months after this car went back to the shop and found that the steering column had to be replace again? WOW by now ready to give car back. Very disappointed in Honda customer service. I have owned several Honda products but this is by far the worst model I have ever owned. Drivers seat not comfortable, the car itself compared to other models of similar class. I rate this car a 2 on a scale of 10!!!!

Love This CAR! - 2008 Honda Accord
By SAM - April 8 - 9:33 amGot rid of my 2006 AUDI A6 and bought this. Thousands of dollars cheaper! Runs better than AUDI A6 - Better Mileage + more HP. Bought last week ( 10/14/2008 ) 2008 Accord v6 at $5000 below MSRP and LOVE IT!

Trading in early! - 2008 Honda Accord
By hcpops - March 25 - 6:30 pmPremature wear on rear breaks! Starting hearing noise after 27,00 miles. Dealers are offering to split cost of repair. Interior noise on drivers side window is very annoying! Definite last Honda purchase.

Buyers Remorse - 2008 Honda Accord
By Dolce - March 23 - 5:26 pmJust traded in my 03 Toyota Highlander, which I absolutely adored to buy this Accord. I am so very disappointed with the gas mileage! My Highlander was doing the same! I traded in my beautiful Highlander for a couple of miles less than the Accord. So, for this reason, Im sick. I traded for better mileage, and this is what I got. Eventually will trade it in for something more fuel efficient, hoping the gas prices wont make it depreciate more. I could kick myself! I miss my baby!!

BRAKES!!!!! - 2008 Honda Accord
By MJ - March 7 - 7:13 pmI really loved this car the first few months I got it. Until I had to replace the rear brakes at 13,000 miles!! Absolutely ridiculous! I am now at 31,000 and just replaced them for the 3rd time. This was the only problem I had with the car. But hopefully some good new awaits as I read from another reviewer that a brake update/recall is coming from Honda in December 2009. Lets hope that happens. There is also a lot of road noise, I cant hear my bluetooth coming out of my speaker. I paid $500 for it too! Just use headphones or ear piece. I have yet to get 30 mpg on the long trips I take. Im going to look at a Prius now if they dont fix the brake problem. Waste of money!

Rattles - 2008 Honda Accord
By Josh - February 20 - 12:13 amI love the car except for the rattles from the passenger side. I noticed the compartment under the glove box was not snapped shut properly so fixed that but it still rattles worse than my 2001 Nissan Sentra on certain road surfaces. Great handling and acceleration though.

Good reliable choice - 2008 Honda Accord
By monica - January 3 - 1:30 pmI bought this car after much consideration of many models. I chose it for the low emissions, value for the money, reliability and gas mileage. Its a great car, I just miss my BMW which was way more fun to drive. Im 6 tall, and find the driving position pretty comfortable. I get 27+ MPG in mixed driving, which is pretty good although its annoying that I have to calculate it manually. (ok Im either spoiled or lazy)

Fun and Looks Nice - 2008 Honda Accord
By jcross - December 23 - 3:40 pmThis is my fourth Accord and Honda got most of it right. My 2008 190 HP EX-L Coupe is perfect for around town and short trips. The high end sound system is very good. Fit and finish and ergonomics are as you would expect from a Honda, very good. This Accord has more road noise than I like and the seats tend to be hard, unlike my other Accords. The V6 would be a better choice for folks that go on long road trips, have longer commutes or do allot of freeway driving. The rear brakes had to be serviced at 20k miles. Honda acknowledged that this was an issue and pro rated the fix. The Clear Coat may be an issue as it was on earlier Accords. Fuel mileage has been less than expected.

Alright Car But Not My Preference - 2008 Honda Accord
By Zach - December 19 - 6:46 amThis Accord is ok but I would much rather prefer a different car. The acceleration is somewhat on the exhilarating side but is way too loud at least for my taste.Have ridden in cars with more power and they were not nearly as noisy. The ride is good but could be better. The new body style is somewhat sporty but a downgrade from the 2007. The front seats are hard to the max. I like the options that are standard with the EX but still not a big fan of this car. The stereo is also very nice in this car.
