Overview & Reviews
The Ford Ranger soldiers into 2008 with only minor changes. A new, more aerodynamic front bumper design improves fuel economy slightly, while trim levels have been reduced.
- Solid performance from 4.0-liter V6, very capable off-road with the FX4 trim.
- Cramped interior, choppy ride, subpar handling and braking, dated interior design, lacks modern-day safety and convenience features.

Lots for the Money - 2008 Ford Ranger
By Average Joe - December 9 - 10:05 pmAfter puting the last 20K, of 107K, on a 1997 model, I bought the 2008. Not much change, but "if it aint broke dont fix it!" These little trucks will give you much economical utility and reliabilty. When you are not "trucking" it is decently comfortable transportation for two.

Look Elsewhere - 2008 Ford Ranger
By Bill - November 2 - 7:03 pmThis past week I took delivery of a loaded 2008 Ford Ranger XLT. On the trip home from the out-of-town Ford dealership where I purchased the Ranger, the drivers side suicide door developed a rattle. I took my Ranger to a local Ford dealer to correct the problem. While the local dealer did make substantial improvement in eliminating the door rattle, I was informed that body work would be required to fully correct the problem.

Awesome - 2008 Ford Ranger
By eaglesdude00 - October 2 - 10:45 amThe Ford Ranger is an awesome truck to buy. It looks good, and has plenty of power to go offroading with. I love my Ranger, and drive it everyday. If you have the choice, get 4-wheel drive, it makes a huge difference!

Very good truck - 2008 Ford Ranger
By George Dibble - September 1 - 6:29 amVery good truck. Ive had this little ranger a little over two years and Ive had no problems with it whatsoever. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a small pick up. The only downside is that its towing capacity is Limited by its four-cylinder engine.
