For the 1999 Ford Mustang, Ford gives its sports car fresh styling and more motor. The 3.8-liter V6 engine makes 190 horsepower and 220 pound-feet of torque. The SOHC V8 found in GT models gets an 16-percent increase in horsepower. Improvements to the V6 and GT suspension and steering gear, as well as a styling update.

  I bought my 1999 Mustang brand new in 1999. It was one of the first 13 sold in my city that year. From the moment I first sat in the car for test drive I was in love with the car. In a little over 4 years, I have not had any trouble - mechanical or otherwise - with this car. It is a blast to drive and still gets looks everywhere I go!

  Overall this is a great car, but I would recomend having another car for the winter. The car has an extremely responsive throttle, making the car very quick. There are many affordable aftermarket upgrades for this car. My catalytic converters became stopped up. And Ive heard other other mustangs having the same problem. Othe than that I havent had anyproblems with the car. If you buy a sports car that has a v8 engine you shouldnt expect to get great gas mileage. I got about 14 miles in the city and 18 on the highway(220), but I was accelerating a lot so if you dry the car easier you could probally get about 250 miles on a full tank.

  I bought my car used with 32,000 miles on it two years ago. Have only had a few problems and have really enjoyed driving it. However, do not attempt to drive in ice! In snow it is not too bad if you take it slow.

  Excellent value for the money. Great straight-line performance but handling is fairly poor. Car sits too high and handling suffers from lack of independent suspension during hard driving. Surprisingly good reliability owned one for over 3.5- years and hexperienced only one problem (convertible top motor died, but replaced under warranty).

  I recently bought my 99 Mustang GT Convertible&have yet to be dissappointed.Its beautiful,&the interior is roomy enough for 2 up front,however,I quickly abandoned the possibility of fitting 2 comfortably in the back.It can be done, but only by scooting the front seats up considerably,which could be bearable for short trips,but not on long ones.Trunk space also leaves a bit to be desired.The stereo systems great for factory, the exteriors hot,&outside noise is pretty minimal considering it is a convertible.Im impressed!My beauty is definitly a head-turner,&I look forward to thousands more miles with him!

  I HAVE HAD THIS CAR 3 YEARS. ITS A FUN CAR AND A HEAD TURNER.THE V6 IS STRONG.BUT REMBER ITS NO V8.THE MPG ARE 23 TO 26.THATS WHAT I SEE ANYWAY.IT HAS A GOOD RIDE GOOD ON TRIPS.I LIVE IN WV AND WE GET SOME SNOW HERE.AS LONG AS YOU PUT GOOD SNOW TIRES ON IT GOES FINE.WE RUN THIS CAR EVERY DAY ALMOST. NOW DONT TAKE THAT WRONG 15 INCHES OF SNOW WE LET IT SAY IN THE GARGE.THE ONLY PROBLEM IVE HAD WAS THE HOOD CRACKED AT THE CORNER OF THE HOOD SCOOP. FORD REPLACED IT WITH NO PROBLEMS. YES THIS IS A FUN CAR .

  the headliner falls, too many rattles, the trunk gets too torn up from regular daily use, valve problems, just not very dependable. only 49000k on it and i already feel like i cant trust it. too many small things have added up to me not liking my car very much. decent gas mileage, nice style, acceptable performance, great front seat room

  it was a great car thta zoomed around the corners! iT LOOKS GREAT AND HAS A LOT OF ROOM FOR A TWO DOOR COUPE. ID DEFINETLY BUY ANOTHER CANT WAIT TILL THE 2005 COME OUT HEARD THEY ARE BRINGING BACK THE MACH 1 AND SUCH.
