For the 1999 Ford Mustang, Ford gives its sports car fresh styling and more motor. The 3.8-liter V6 engine makes 190 horsepower and 220 pound-feet of torque. The SOHC V8 found in GT models gets an 16-percent increase in horsepower. Improvements to the V6 and GT suspension and steering gear, as well as a styling update.

Big down side to me, no available "Roll Bar" offered and its a royal pain in the ___to put the tops "Boot Cover" on. The V6 could use some more HP but the gas mileage is good and the insurance rates are lower than witha V8. Just gets better with age. Recaro seats in front with be a nice touch and offer bette

Outside of the handling poorly in in snow and the trunk being a little small,(though both are to be a bit expected), it has been one of the most enjojable cars I have had in 20 years!

Been through several accidents, and still in one piece, never an injury! ) Had to have the brakes replaced and the engine serviced once, but thats really it. Runs well, accelerates really nicely, a fun car to drive (especially in electric green!) I just wanted to reply to someone saying that it ran well in rain and snow- it DOESNT run in rain or snow! very very touchy. spins out a LOT. Im trading it in this year for something with AWD. For what I used it for though, it was a great car.

By DRIVEN396 - October 9 - 2:00 amhAVE DRIVEN CAR 98000 MILES SINCE i BOUGHT IT NEW. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. cAR STARTED UP EACH AN EVERYDAY. ALL IVE DONE IS CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 3500 MILES. OH! THE BRAKES DO WEAR PRETTY QUICKLY. 4 TIMES HAD TO REPLACE. ONLY THING WRONG IS THE DRIVER SEAT IS STARTIBG TO FRAY ON THE EDGE. GUESS ITS THE WAY I GET IN THE CAR. GOES IN SNOW AND RAIN. MACH STERO IS AWESOME AND BODY STYLE STILL TURNS HEADS.

I hammer on this car every time I drive it, and havent had a single problem and it has over 80K miles. Then to top it off the Mustang delivers the best power for your money too. I love getting into this car everyday, even after four years of ownership. My next car will be another Mustang. Thank you Ford.

By Jorge G - August 10 - 2:00 amI have had this car for over 4 years now. I am going to sell it to get the 2003 Cobra. I would say that this is the best car I have ever owned. I only had one problem with it. The ignition switch went out, but the dealer took care of that. No charge, it was still under warranty. The gas milage is not great, but if that is what you want buy a 4 banger.
