  • Love my car - 1999 Ford Mustang

I got this car as a junior in college. Id always wanted a Mustang since I was a child. The roar of the pipes and the overall sexiness of the car was totally appealing to me. Ive put a lot of highway miles on it due to college and traveling home over the years. As a young woman driver on the road alone a lot its been very reassuring to know that my Stang is realiable. Only work Ive had done is a new alternator and now I need a started. Thats it.

  • Awesome car! - 1999 Ford Mustang

I bought this car for 17000 from a blonde girl who owned for only 9 months, and only 11000 miles. The reason im saying this is because she bought a MB CLK coupe with 45000 miles for 30000! Go figure! I love this silver convertible mustang since the very first day. The car looks great. I added 20" black wheels and lowered 2". People on the street always stare. I have owned this car since Dec 2000. The only thing that I have change on this car is the oil and brakes once. Oh I also upgraded the headlights to all clear, and smoke the tailights. The car has 105k miles, and I will keep it for many more years. The car has been super reliable.

  • Best bang for the buck! - 1999 Ford Mustang

Purchased new, passed 100,000 earlier this year. Cars these days have become more powerful, but in 1999, this car was the best bang for the buck other than the high-school-kid-styling Camaro/Firebird twins. Works well as a daily driver, but fun to drive and can burn some rubber when you feel like it. Aside from a few initial fit/finish issues, car has been very reliable with no major fixes. I did recently have to have the rear differential rebuilt with new parts for >$2k due to the oil leaking out after poorly designed speed bumps dented the diff. case. However, I believe this was a freak incident and should be even less likely to happen to a stock car. (Mine is lowered around 1.5".)

  • Good Car - 1999 Ford Mustang

I bought this Mustang in Feb. of 2004 with only 52,000 miles on it. It already had the 60,000 miles work done on it. Since then Ive driven it to about 88,000 miles. It performs great - good acceleration and decent cornering (though I rarely push either). The top very rarely leaks, only when Ive driven in BIG storms. Its only happened twice. This is a big improvement over my last convertible, a 92 Mustang. The only problems Ive had are that the cruise control button fell off one day last year (its still usable) and the front brakes have needed A LOT of work ($1300). They always cover the front rims with brake dust as well. Overall Im very happy with the car.

  • A Mustang is a true Legend - 1999 Ford Mustang

Im a college student and 18 years old. I just recently bought a 1999 Mustang GT anniversary edition. I bought it for $10,500 w/ 51,000 miles. To tell you the truth it was a heck of a deal. But for all the people who are reading these to get an idea about what people think about Mustangs, I will give you my honest opinion. The Mustang GT is fast. 0-60 is around 5.5 secs. And the roar of the engine is to die for. And it handles really well. I mean really well. The car is built to last a while, I can tell you that. The disadvantage is the gas mileage, seating space, and the winter. I average around 18 city and 22 highway. The backseats are a little too small. Overall its a great muscle car!

  • Excellent Choice - 1999 Ford Mustang

I have owned this car for a little over 4 years, and have not had any major problems with it. Of course, the oxygen sensors have needed to be replaced, but doesnt every car have that problem? Periodically, my odometer displays turns off, but this is just a minor problem...if even a problem at all. Yesterday, it wouldnt start, so I will need to replace either the battery or the starter. Now this is no big deal, considering the car is paid for, and this is the only problem that I have ever had. Over all, excellent car and I would buy another.

  • LOVE MY PONY! - 1999 Ford Mustang

Have never had any problems with my 1999 Mustang convertible. I love this car! Am considering trading for the 2005, but having a hard time parting with this one.

  • Great car for the money! - 1999 Ford Mustang
    By -

My friend purchased this model a few months before me. I loved it so much, I went out and bought one. This has been the best car I have owned. For the money, its hard to beat. Quality, durability, and its fun! Total in almost 6 years of owning for all/any repairs: $350.00. Minor work done. Just now had to change brakes. Other than oil changes no up keep!

  • Best Car for A College Student - 1999 Ford Mustang

This car was my party vehicle throughout my college years. I have 145,000 miles on it and all I had to do was change the oil. My convertible top hydraulics began to leak at 100,000 and that is all I had to fix. Of course since I take the top down and put it back up a million times when I went out it had to break eventually! :) I plan on driving this bad boy until 200,000 miles and keeping it as my fun vehicle.

  • Third times a charm! - 1999 Ford Mustang
    By -

I had a 1987 Mustang GT that I swore I would never trade. Well that fell through when I set my sights on a 1999 official 35th Anniversary Stang. This car is absolutely amazing. Its muscular yet sexy at the same time. This is my third Mustang and by far my favorite. Were keeping this one and already saving up to buy a 05 as a daily driver. I tell you what that 4.6 V8 has so much power its amazing.
