Overview & Reviews
Redesigned last year, the Expedition offers few changes for 2004. Option packages and trim levels have been slightly revised, and in some cases, renamed. The XLS replaces last year's XLT Value trim level, while a new NBX trim level replaces the FX4 off-road package. And there is now an XLT Sport trim level. A tire-pressure monitoring system is now standard on XLT, XLT Sport and Eddie Bauer, while the previously standard limited-slip rear axle is now an option.
- Well thought-out interior with plenty of room for passengers and their belongings, handy fold-flat third-row seat, impressive handling for its size, great crash test scores.
- Needs more power, ride quality suffers on rough roads.

Go on an Expedition in Comfort - 2004 Ford Expedition
By Brstev - September 26 - 10:00 amThe 2004 Expedition is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven. I have all the room and towing capacity of a truck but the comfort of a luxury car. I replaced my pick up truck with a Ford Expedition.

We are very Satisfied!! - 2004 Ford Expedition
By mtroop - September 20 - 2:00 amWhen purchasing this vehicles we where looking for to important features: space and towing ablility. We want to be able to have a vehicle with people space and cargo space. We tow a 27 foot travel trailer and need power. Both of these goal have been reach and we love our Excursion!

Great Vehicle - 2004 Ford Expedition
By annsabelle - September 15 - 10:00 amI had a 2003 Chevy Tahoe and traded for the Ford Expedition. There is no comparison. The Expedition has better features, examples: touch pad entry on drivers door, 3rd row seat fold flat, you dont have to remove it, the middle seats recline, access to 3rd row from both sides, more leg room in rear seats, 3rd row has just as much leg room as the 2nd row, even an adult can sit in the 3rd row without feeling cramped. The Ford Expedition has better braking ability than the Chevy Tahoe. All in all, I think the Expedition is a better choice than the Chevy Tahoe.

LOVE IT! - 2004 Ford Expedition
By DallasJack - September 14 - 2:00 amThis is our 8th SUV and by far our most satisfying overall. Easy to manuveur despite its size and, though not as fast out of the block as our old Jeep Grand Cherokee, its much larger and handles urban issues (potholes) much better. Overall, we love it

It keeps getting better - 2004 Ford Expedition
By Bob Mac - September 3 - 10:07 pmThis is my 2nd Eddie Bauer and I am amazed at the improvements. I am a realtor and purchased the ventilated seats as a client convenience. One of the best investments in comfort I have ever made. The gas mileage is great for a vehicle this size and the turning radius and performance are much better than in the older model. I wanted the buy a Tahoe but after a test drive in both I was unable to consider anything but this Ford. I also looked at a few of the imports but found them to be overpriced and under featured. I have been involved in 2 minor accidents (not my fault) since the purchase and my damage was almost undetectable but you should have seen the other guy. I feel safe and secure!

I Luv my Expeditions - I have 2! - 2004 Ford Expedition
By dixie14 - July 22 - 10:00 amI have a 1987 Expedition in Fla & thought it was great so I replaced my 10 year old Ford Bronco with a 2003 Expedition in Michigan. I absolutely love this vehicle. The warning back up feature is fantastic & it handles just great. Im a small female driver & wouldnt even think of having anything else. My friend says it has more features on it than the space shuttle.

I thought I wanted a truck - 2004 Ford Expedition
By R Fischer - June 10 - 10:00 amWent to the dealership to trade my 99F150 with 90k, for a 2004 F150. Wasnt finding the color or equipment I wanted. As I was leaving, I asked about the Expeditions and they had a beautiful Blue demo. This thing had all the toys. Only option missing was the sunroof. Its tow rating was more then enough for my boat, which is 7000lbs. It tows like a mule and you feel like youre in a highend sedan. The 4wd engages easily, and is a life saver on slipper boat ramps, which Florida has in great number. Fuel economy is the same, if not better then my truck which had the 4.6 and the is Expedition has a 5.4. The transmission is smooth and sure.
