Overview & Reviews
Power output is improved for both Triton V8 engines on Ford's full-size sport-ute. Package content is added for both XLT and Eddie Bauer trim levels. Power-adjustable accelerator and brake pedals have been added. An updated Command Trac four-wheel-drive system allows automatic four-wheel-drive operation when required. Spruce Green, Harvest Gold, Tropic Green and Deep Wedgewood Blue replace Light Prairie Tan, Vermont Green, Light Denim Blue and Pacific Green on the color chart.
- Big, comfortable, and easy to drive. Good off-road, too.
- If you can reduce your seating needs by one (from nine to eight) the Dodge Durango is less expensive and easier to maneuver.

Great SUV - 1999 Ford Expedition
By pmb SUV - September 17 - 2:00 amThis is my company vehicle and I drive 25000 miles a year. This vehicle has 110,000 miles on it and my company has spent a total of $500 in maintenance. It is a great vehicle that is very dependable. Dont forget that it is a company vehicle and it does take a lot of abuse. I think it will run forever.

Buyers Beware - 1999 Ford Expedition
By Conradikal - September 1 - 2:00 amI bought my Ford Expedition and had nothing but problems. I had two blown head gasket one @45000 and another @60000 miles. Five times I had to return it to the dealer for A/C repair. I wrote Ford a certified letter stating the problem and they never replied. Such service. It is the most unreliable vehicle Ive owned.

Good SUV - 1999 Ford Expedition
By Pingree - July 20 - 2:00 amThis is my third SUV. My first was an Explorer which was trash by redlight runner. So, went for next size up. Bought a 98 EB Expidition and have never looked back. Now, I have the 99 which has a few more features I wanted and enjoy. Would have gone with the XLT but, the options I wanted were not available. Great size and ride.

Awesome SUV - 1999 Ford Expedition
By MarbleLife - June 15 - 2:00 amWe bought our Exp EB used with 50K miles and we currenlty have 70K with no problems what so ever. Runs tight, no rattles or anything. My wife and I love the handling and the room it has. Really was the best vaule for the $$$. We looked at the Toyota but it is way over priced, we figure even if the Ford did give us some problems we would still be ahead from all we saved in price. Good truck!!!!

BIG SUV... Great for towing! - 1999 Ford Expedition
By T&D of Silverthorne - June 10 - 2:00 amWe searched foreign and domestics alike seeking the perfect SUV for our family. Couldnt find it but settled with something that would fit our needs. We needed to pull our travel trailer through the Colorado mountains with ease, keep the kids occupied until we reached our destination, and kept the adults happy and comfortable.

Comfortable Ride - 1999 Ford Expedition
By psicoo - June 5 - 2:00 amI have been extremely satisfied with the handling and comfort of my expedition both on and off road. Averaging 18-19 miles per gallon, in my opinion is excellent for a large truck.

Great SUV for Towing Our Camper! - 1999 Ford Expedition
By Dave in Boulder - April 14 - 2:00 amWhen we set out looking for SUVs, we decided that it had to easily tow our travel trailer. Our trailer weighs in around 5,000lbs. We wanted something that was smooth on the highway, had room for the kids, and would tow easily at 14,000 feet. After searching all the imports, and American vehicles we settled on the Expedition for its comfort and prowness. We are enjoying it so far, and cant say anything really bad about it.
