Overview & Reviews
Redesigned last year, the Expedition offers few changes for 2004. Option packages and trim levels have been slightly revised, and in some cases, renamed. The XLS replaces last year's XLT Value trim level, while a new NBX trim level replaces the FX4 off-road package. And there is now an XLT Sport trim level. A tire-pressure monitoring system is now standard on XLT, XLT Sport and Eddie Bauer, while the previously standard limited-slip rear axle is now an option.
- Well thought-out interior with plenty of room for passengers and their belongings, handy fold-flat third-row seat, impressive handling for its size, great crash test scores.
- Needs more power, ride quality suffers on rough roads.

Great SUV - 2004 Ford Expedition
By Dior - March 8 - 2:00 amSo far were extremely happy with our Exp. four people went from D.C. to Virginia Beach in it and we were unbelieveably comfortable, it felt more like a run out to lunch than a 300mile trip. We packed so much stuff into this bad boy and we didnt encroach into the 2nd row seat at all. This is our new family workhorse.

good vehicle - 2004 Ford Expedition
By chckinitout - January 18 - 2:00 amI am pleased with the ride of the vehicle. very smooth for an SUV. The feel while driving makes you feel safe. storage and cargo room not a problem, plenty of room. The leg space for the third row seating is great. I have never owned a large vehicle like this but now it is something that will be hard to give up if I had to.

to many repairs - 2004 Ford Expedition
By bigpaul - January 8 - 10:00 amJust like all expeditions, the brakes last no more than 23,000. Ford denies it, but they used the explorer brakes on the expedition, and they are to small for this larger vehicle. We had to replace the starter, after being stranded several times, when it would not start when warm. Face it, Toyota you will never be!

Best money I ever spent - 2004 Ford Expedition
By Rick A - December 19 - 10:00 amWe just recently purchased our 2nd Expedition and I have to say, GOOD JOB FORD!! They finally listend to the customers and have delivered an SUV worth the money. The interior space and power fold third row seat make it easy for me and the family to go on the long trips and still have room for our kids.

By Beartracker001 - November 7 - 10:00 amI can not be any happier than I am about my Expedition. It hasnt missed a beat since bought it. I love its off- road capabilities while still remaining comfortable and sylish. It is also a great help to me because it is so roomy. I just cant say enough about the Ford Expedition.

Just Awful - 2004 Ford Expedition
By disbelieve - October 8 - 10:00 amAn awful vehicle. Vibration, three Continental tires have been replaced and it still vibrates, looks like another Firestone problem. Dont blame the dealer they have tried to fix this lemon. Bumpers, what bumpers? The plastic bumpers are awful. The quality from the factory is awful. This will be my last Ford. Lost all enthusiasm for this vehicle.
