Overview & Reviews
Redesigned last year, the Expedition offers few changes for 2004. Option packages and trim levels have been slightly revised, and in some cases, renamed. The XLS replaces last year's XLT Value trim level, while a new NBX trim level replaces the FX4 off-road package. And there is now an XLT Sport trim level. A tire-pressure monitoring system is now standard on XLT, XLT Sport and Eddie Bauer, while the previously standard limited-slip rear axle is now an option.
- Well thought-out interior with plenty of room for passengers and their belongings, handy fold-flat third-row seat, impressive handling for its size, great crash test scores.
- Needs more power, ride quality suffers on rough roads.

Nice Truck - 2004 Ford Expedition
By A Ford Guy - November 16 - 2:00 amI stepped up from a 1988 Bronco and what a differance. It has lots of gizzmos and you will find yourself going back to the owners manual quite often. The 10 MPG Im getting could be improved. The ride and handling are great. Some switches and indicators are blocked by the steering wheel or the shift and signal levers. Front and rear climate control system takes getting used to. Otherwise, a nice truck.

Love this SUV - 2004 Ford Expedition
By teacher7 - September 4 - 10:00 amThis truck has been a joy to drive. Feels very safe and easier to park than my 97 explorer. Power fold down seats are awesome!

Love it & will buy my 3rd one soon - 2004 Ford Expedition
By southcross - August 13 - 10:55 pmThis is my 2nd Expedition and I love these trucks. Im about to buy a 3rd one. This one has been a rock - totally dependable and solid. I feel safe on highway or in town. Had someone turn in front of me recently on a highway and the brakes did exactly what they were supposed to do - again, its solid. Put the Michelin LTX/MS tires on it and the ride is great. Ford has treated me right all along - with the 1st one and the 2nd one. It stinks on gas mileage, but it does everything I need it to do. I love this truck.

So Far So Good ! - 2004 Ford Expedition
By Adi Agarwal - April 28 - 2:00 amBought the Expy last year (2003 5.4 Eddie Bauer w/ all safety features). So far so good. Has been back to the shop twice for some minor door rattle fixes. Other than that it has been a very pleasant experience. My kids and wife love it and we use it for long distance travel.

Eddie Bauer not Jack Bauer - 2004 Ford Expedition
By darth_stater - April 9 - 11:34 amHave had the vehicle for three years and it is really great. Nice fit and finish, solid construction and good performance. Gas mileage leaves to be desired and sometimes the braking seems a little scary. Moved to the big city now and must unload it for something a little more size appropriate.
