  • nice machine - 2003 Ford Escape

Ive had this car for 3 weeks now and I cant think of a single thing that Im not happy with. The build quality seems to be excellent. There are no rattles or squeaks - the car just feels very tight and glued down. Its very roomy inside and very versatile.

I have only had it for a day, but what a great car. Everyone who has seen it has loved it and I have already taken 12 of my freinds for a spin.

  • cheap build quality--buy a jeep liberty - 2003 Ford Escape
    By -

i looked at the liberty and escape/tribute..the escape has horrible build quality on the interior, it looks so cheaply built that it wont last 3 yrs..the seats were uncomfortable, plastics bad, fit/finish were not neat, carpets and fabrics all low grade, controls cheap looking, engine loud, transmission not smooth, steering a little spongy..jeep liberty is built much better for the same price, only complaint is seats dont fold down all the way on the liberty

  • Not worth buying - 2003 Ford Escape

You can get a lot better cars than this for the price. Ive had to put at least 3k in for repairs within the first month of buying it. Although I do feel really safe in it, I have to fill up my tank every week, and I dont drive a lot. I regret buying this car and its put me off of all fords.

I find the Escape to have a rough ride. I previously owned a 4x4 2dr Sports Explorer and the comfort level was much superior. With the Escape you seem to feel all the bumps in the road. Also, the steering wheel has buttons, plastic type, built into the sides of the steering wheel and my fingers from time to time get hungup or caught inthem. Otherwise I am a happy camper.

  • Love this car - 2003 Ford Escape

Ive only got 3,000 miles on this car, so Ill have to put in an update later this year, but I love this car. Its fun to drive, easy to get in and out of and has plenty of space for everyone. Its my first Ford or SUV and I do have a fear of reliability issues but I hope for the best. Ive had problems with my Hondas and Toyotas so they werent perfect either.

  • Great New Escape - 2003 Ford Escape

I purchased a 2002 Escape with "Midnight" appearance package. It was more than I wanted but got a great deal. The glossy black finish really caught my eye because its so much classier looking than standard Escapes and I like the fact they only made 5,000 of the "Midnight." I get lots of stares from other drivers! Plus dark leather interior is nice too! Great power with the V6. Handles like a car, smooth and no noice or rattles. Stereo is great and the size of the Escape is deceiving. It has more room than youd think. Looks like a mini Explorer almost. Love my Escape!

Fun to drive, needs a bigger gas tank and pads on the armrests. Besides that it is an awesome SUV. Had a jeep b 4 this and this is much better in the snow.
