We had a mini van as a second car and our 21 year old son would not drive it!!! It is so nice now that we all will drive either car. Although now everyone prefers to drive the NEW ESCAPE.

Excellent Small SUV. Above average gas mileage. Great looking. Like the Yellow color. Safe in side impact studies. Great value.

The car performance is impressive, 0 to 100km is under 9.0 seconds, the power is available through out, the gas paddle is very responsive. Noise generated by tyres and wind noise is audioable at speed but not intrusive. The handling is superb with precise steering matching with superb stopping power eventhough the engine is so powerful, it is very easy to handle either on or off road.

I went from a Ford Mustang to the Escape and could not be more happy. I loved my stang but I needed more room for camping and fishing. The Escape answers with a carlike ride a very peppy V6, excellent handling and comfort, very quiet interior, and room as promised. I do not usually go far off road, and this (2WD!!!)SUV easily handled the trail.

  • Lovin it so far! - 2003 Ford Escape

Ive had it only a few weeks, but Im loving it. No problems so far. Great power, handling, space etc for a small SUV. Mom has a Tribute ES-AWD, and I think the Ford is quicker and handles better (feels much lighter w/o the AWD). Also, the 02 Escape gear shifter is not in the way of the radio (as it does in the 01 Tribute)!! My gas mileage so far has been a little dissapointing, though.

So far I thoroughly enjoy my vehicle.......I think gas mileage could be better ( my v-8, 1997 thunderbird got better mileage ) I need something higher off the ground as I am tall and have bad knees........very glad I picked the 2003 Escape. I would probably get another if I needed to. Thanks..........

I am 16 and i just got a licence. I was lookin for a small car like a Eclipe but my mom said for safety to get a SUV. I love the Escape now that i have it. Its awesome inside and out, and drives fast. I could afford it, and its a good car even for teens. (all my freinds love it)

  • EXCELLENT SMALL SUV FOR THE PRICE - 2003 Ford Escape

I have had this vehicle since the first of August, 2003 and I am very well pleased with most all features of the vehicle. I live in the mountains and have to travel 50 miles round trip to the nearest town and I average around 18 miles per gallon. I also went on a 350 mile trip, which was over a lot of steep mountain roads plus going through several large cities/towns and averaged 25 miles per gallon, so I am very well pleased with my gas millage. The vehicle handled very well and had all the power that I needed, either pulling out in traffic or climing the mountains/hills. I have found the vehicle to be well build and a dependable vehicle up to this point.
