  • Wonderful SUV!!! - 2003 Ford Escape

I love this car! Its car foundation gives it handling that is perfect for the city, but it is substantial enough that light trails hardly felt any different than the road. It only has a 15 gallon gas tank so when on the highway I have to stop often to fill the tank. I bought the new Gold Ash color(very distinctive). The back seat is roomy and I have personally fit three kids and a dog in the back at once and everybody was still comfortable. My chief complaint is knob placement inside. The knobs are grouped close to the steering wheel and difficult to see sometimes. Other than these relativly minor complaints overall a great car for any active person.

I love my little SUV. I was a always a car driver - and this feels quite like a car - so for those looking for a truck feel, you dont get it. I traded a Toyota Avalon, so the ride is not in the same class, but the new Avalon is over $10,000.00 more than I paid for the Escape.

  • Best Car I Ever Owned - 2003 Ford Escape
    By -

I went to buy a replacement Windstar in the fall of 03 and drove home in a red 2WD Escape. My wife and I fell in love with it immediately. Since then we have changed he oil and filter every 2500 miles and replaced filters and belts. The factory tires were horrible and screamed and moaned. I replaced them with Michelins and turned the Escape into a whole new, quiet, smooth-riding vehicle. Other than that the car has not been in the shop. It has required ZERO repairs in 65K miles. None. Zilch. Nada. This is far and away the best, most dependable automobile I have ever owned.

  • Great SUV, fun to drive! - 2003 Ford Escape

After only driving cars, I wanted something bigger, especially since I have a child now. I researched alot of vehicles and liked the reviews on this one. With 5 star crash test ratings, and its reasonable price, you cant go wrong. I feel safe driving, and its alot of fun. The only drawbacks are the noisy ride, and the crappy CD player (it ate 2 of my CDs!). Other than that, great little SUV!

I looked at several compact suvs and the escape was by far the best mix of affordability, suv toughness, sedan like ride and great options. The new limited style is the way to go. The limited looks very stylish with monochromatic bumper, alloy rims, decent sound system and leather interior. My all in price after taxes, warranty, manic grill guards, running boards, and sunroof, was the base msrp of a lexus. Finally if you look at the Rav-4, Liberty, or crv, the escape is the only one that does not look like a scrunched up accordian. I am very happy, FORD has come a long way in the past few years

  • Cute, Peppy, Sporty, Fun!!! - 2003 Ford Escape

I bought this truck about a week ago and I cant stop driving it around! Its my first SUV and so far my experience with it has been wonderful! I love just about everything about it. Its comfortable, its peppy, and its a powerful truck in a compact size. I highly reccommend this vehicle to anyone looking to buy a small SUV with the power of a big truck.
