Need more luxury when you Escape? For 2003, Ford will offer a new Limited edition that includes body-color trim, polished aluminum wheels, a reverse sensing system, a Mach audio system with six-disc CD changer, heated front seats and sideview mirrors, premium leather seats, front side airbags and an autodimming rearview mirror. The XLT can also be upgraded this year with an appearance package that includes special wheels, side step bars and body-color exterior trim. For all 2003 Ford Escapes, there are upgraded interior materials and fabrics, an available two-tone cabin color scheme, illuminated power window and lock switches and three new colors. Finally, the XLS 4WD with a four-cylinder engine and a manual transmission is dropped for 2003.

clock problems? - 2003 Ford Escape
By eshanks5 - September 26 - 2:00 amI cant seem to get an answer as to why my clock does not automatically come on. Why must I push the clock button every time i drive the car? I got nowhere with asking the service dept. One guy told me I must not have gotten that option!! It is just plain annoying!!

A great value and very fun to drive - 2003 Ford Escape
By Bid - September 24 - 2:00 amI bought my Escape just before we had a winter with 28 inches of snowfall. No problem for the Escape. We live on a steep hill and our side street never gets plowed, I had no problems with the 4 wheel drive system, even without low range. During the spring and summer it handles very well, good steering response and turn in. Plenty of room in the rear seats too(more that the CRV). A very balanced suspension, well designed automatic 4 wheel drive system and peppy V6 make it an all around great value.

fun driving - 2003 Ford Escape
By purple - September 22 - 2:00 amI have had my Escape for 3 months now. So far I love it. Handling and ride is very nice. It is comfortable and roomy for everyone and everything I have hauled. The gear lever in the way I had read about in previous reviews is not an issue with my 2003. The stick moves towards the dash after I shift into Drive. I had test driven a CRV first as I am a former Honda civic owner of nine years. CRV was okay, but it did not have the build quality of the older Hondas as far as I was concerned.

By wiley - September 21 - 2:00 amThis is a the best vehicle out there for the price. The exterior is spectactular. I love the sporty look. The interior has lots of room, and its very practicle for maneuvering in and out of tight parking spaces. I went from driving small compact cars all my life to driving this, and I have had no problems.

Driving Fun! - 2003 Ford Escape

I drove several others in the same class (e.g., Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda CR/V, Toyota Rav4) and none of them came close to the Escape for comfort, appearance, and just plain driving fun! Ive never been a recreational driver before, but this little car is changing that!!!

My Company Vehicle - 2003 Ford Escape
By repcritter - September 6 - 2:00 amI recieved this vehicle as a company lease and I LOVE It. As a pharmaceutical rep and travel a lot and need plenty of space for samples and promos. My vehicle has to be comfortable and spacious. While my Escape is not huge, it is sufficient for my needs and the drivers seat fits me well. My Escape has leather interior and 6 CD stereo and power seat. The visibilty is great due to the elevated chasis and well located windows. All controls are well within reach and the ride is not at all like a truck. My kids think it is SPORTY! and love to ride in it. Overall, the quality of my Escape is superior to all of my previous company vehicles.

My 1st SUV!!! - 2003 Ford Escape
By SUV for me - September 6 - 2:00 amThis is my first SUV, so I cant compare with others. But so far, I have no complaints. The car chassis feature is why I chose it. I have been a Ford leaser for many years and did not necessarily wish to stay with Ford, but after checking other makes and models it was this vehicle that overwhelmingly won me over. I am happy I did the research and have been enjoying the easy ride, the ample space and the absolute comfort of my SUV!!!

Great Car - 2003 Ford Escape
By tral2dax - September 6 - 2:00 amI love my Escape. Its the first car Ive ever gotten, and I have been pleasantly suprised by its performance. It drives much like a car, and I always feel safe inside my Escape. I highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a sporty, small SUV.
