  • Wish they still made them - 1993 Dodge Shadow
    By -

I bought a 93 shadow new for $9200. I now have 141,000 miles and the only repairs have been a horn, one set of brakes (at 120,000) one set of plugs, 3 sets of tires. DODGE please stop making the piece of crap neon, and make this car again. I wish I could hop in my time machine a buy a few more of these new.

Fun, power, reliable, economic... everything and more. Has enough power to be fun, handels Extremely well, little maintance, and at 109k miles... the only problem was the a/c went out, due to incompentant service that the previous owner had taken too...

  • Fun to Drive - 1991 Dodge Shadow

At 150K, this car runs like a Tiger! The 2.2 litter four-cylinder engine averages 25-city/30-highway mileage per gallon. The two misgiving on this vehicle are the air-conditioning and 0to 40 miles takeoff speed. The air- condition compressor and high-pressure side hoses need major design improvement.

  • I love It!!! - 1994 Dodge Shadow

I am a proud owner of a 94 ES V6. Ive had it for 7 years and have over 100,000 miles on it. There have been no serious problems. My only complaints are the noise that is typical with older Chryslers, and the overall fit and finish is very simple. On average the car gets between 20-24mpg in the city and I always get around 28mpg on long trips on the highway. The car feels quick and has lots of torque for a car of its size. DO NOT buy one with an automatic transmission. My brother had a 92 Duster (same car as the shadow) with an auto that was replaced 3 times and is typical of Chryslers. This car is definitely a great buy.

  • Turbo fun! - 1990 Dodge Shadow

I bought this car for $1000 canadian, it was in very good condition, all i had to do was some exhaust work. Since has been working very well. I was very surprised by the amount of horsepower (150) out of the 2.5 litre, 4 cylinder engine... especially the fact that it is now 12 years old, and has 197000ks. At least my first car was a decent one.

  • Best car for family - 1991 Dodge Shadow
    By -

My 91 shadow american is the best car for a family. Its not made to get up and go like a sports car but a family thats looking for a reliable car that goes and goes, this is it. The only thing replaced in this car was the fuel pump. Everything else has been perfect. My car doesnt have power windows, cruise and all that. What it does have is quality and dependablity. Thats what makes it a great car. Two car seats in back fit fine. The kids enjoy riding in our car.

  • Great car! - 1994 Dodge Shadow

Excellent and reliable car. Only problems I have had come directly from previous owner (a/c was damaged from a shop it was taken to for a recharge). Oxygen sensor has gone bad, but easily fixed. The car is fun to drive, has an excellent amount of power for a 4cyl... Can even burn some rubber (front wheel drive as well). Handling and breaking is awesome. Overall, it drives like a higher-end car. Interior is roomy, and easily accesable and easy to store (hatchback makes it a whole lot bigger to play with). Only thing I wish was that it came with a center arm-rest :D

  • Nice V6 torque - 1993 Dodge Shadow
    By -

I bought this car new in 1993 and it cost around $11,500. Tell me where you can get a new car today for that kind of money that has 170 lb. ft. of torque availible as soon as you put your foot on the gas. It handled pretty well also. The hatch back great, even though it doesnt look like a hatch, and the rear seats folded down. The brakes could be a lot better to match the engines performance. When things did go wrong, they were minor and inexpensive. After 8 years of owning it I bought a new car, but I would do it over again if I could.
