Good Small Car - 1992 Dodge Shadow
By Glenn - August 4 - 9:24 amI had one of these I bought new in 1990 and put 100,000 trouble free miles on it. I bought a new one in 1992 for my mother-in-law and she drove it until she passed away. She loved it and it has sat the last few years as we just could not sell it. I started driving it again recently and it runs like the day we bought it. These were good cars for the money, this car has 77,000 miles on it without a single problem.

My First Car ans an awesome one at that - 1993 Dodge Shadow
By ken - August 2 - 10:29 amI loved this car it was fun to drive all my friends loved it. For a small car it was powerful with a v6 3L engine. The only things that werent so great about the gas was the gas mileage but wat do you expect from a 16 to 17 year old car And theres little room. This car was amazing but about 2 weeks ago coming home my back right tire snapped off where the axle met the rim so i dont know if Im going to have it fixed because it might not be worth the money but it was an amazing car and was reliable until this one incident and i got the car from my grand father when it had only 46,000 miles on it in 08 and when i was done with it it had 68,000 so i used it well and it was a great FAST car.

93 dodge shadow - 1993 Dodge Shadow
By emilys car - January 17 - 1:28 pmExcellent car, nearly 200,000 kms on it and still going... Very comfortable and fun to drive, most reliable car, can sit for 2 weeks at below zero temp and still have no trouble starting. Not many repairs needed over the years. Love this car and will miss it when its gone some day. Doesnt seem like that will happen any time soon tho!

Best car ever - 1994 Dodge Shadow
By Andy - September 9 - 12:04 pmI bought my 94 Shadow in November of 94 with 12,000 miles on it. The following fall it drove 100 miles (round trip) per day to college 5 days a week. It was in a rollover accident in winter of 96. Rolled it back onto the wheels and drove it into body shop. Continued to drive until 2000 when it was sold to my brother for college and had not needed one repair in its 125,000 mile life. Was sold back to me in 2002 for a daily driver work car at which time I drove it up to 200,000 miles replacing only hoses at 185,000 miles. Still didnt use 1 drop of oil between changes. It was only retired due to a severe accident that tore the engine off the motor mounts. The engine still ran after.

Good Little Car - 1992 Dodge Shadow
By materialman - October 29 - 1:05 pmWe bought this car with 8000 miles on it in 1993 for my Mother-in-Law. She loved it and would not have traded it for a new Mercedes. She has passed away now and the car is in mint condition with 77,000 miles on it. We have never had a minutes trouble from it and it will never be sold.

Race - 1994 Dodge Shadow
By moparman - June 12 - 3:30 pmI bought this car already torn down, i am using this car to race at a circle track. The car is completely stock no improvements. It is very fast (won the first and only race so far) I race against people who put 2 grand into the car with performance stuff i bought the car for $450 and have put about $250 into it but that is expected with a race car. Only thing Ive had to replace was rack and pinion and a starter(plugs and wires)

My Shadow Caries Me. - 1994 Dodge Shadow
By Carl French - March 29 - 8:25 pmI have enjoyed my Shadow and have found it to be very reliable and economical. I travel a lot of highway miles and it has never let me down when I needed it. It even survived a break enter and theft by a young car thief.

Good while it lasted - 1993 Dodge Shadow
By bzieba - September 12 - 4:23 pm3rd shadow we have owned. nice car but watch out after you hit 100m plus miles, start your euology. These are what we call "throw away cars", after 10-12 years throw em in the junk yard. They will start to fall apart. Mechanically, body and hardware. Actually one is still going pretty good with 135m miles on it, the other two are done. Transmissions seem to be first, then cooling systems go haywire, and the usual minor repairs but will nickel and dime you . Gas mileage is allright, nothing to shout about though, ride is well, a ride in a small car, what do you expect. A pretty basic car, good for the high schooler or college transportation, not a family car though.

Very inexpensive to own - 1992 Dodge Shadow
By Bnad - September 21 - 2:00 amI paid about $8,500 for this car in 1993. Im very happy with the repair record until just the last year, the car just has never needed repairs. The car is a V6 with plenty of power and Ive never had a major problem with it. The body metal has lasted very well the clutch has nearly 100,000 miles on it. The biggest problem right now is a squeak from the sway bar bushings, which the mechanic has convinced me is harmless. This is really the requiem for my car as the paint is faded, the clutch has started to slip, and I dont think its worth it to replace it. But this has been a very cheap car to own, and great performance for the money.
