Overview & Reviews
Half-ton models now feature standard Hydroboost brakes, a tire-pressure monitoring system and newly styled 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Two-wheel-drive models with traction control now feature a locking rear differential, and the trailering package includes a 7-to-4 pin brake wiring adapter. For added safety, there is now a front passenger seatbelt reminder. Lastly, Chevrolet has lowered the output figures for the Vortec 8100 -- the engine is now rated at 320 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque.
- Choice of powerful V8 engines, Quadrasteer four-wheel steering system, cavernous cargo space, room for nine.
- Massive size can be tough in tight confines, vague steering feel, cheap interior plastics.

This is my Fourth Suburban! - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By Annette Watkins - April 23 - 2:00 amHaving owned Chevy Suburbans since the 80s I tried to scale back to a large Car (Lincoln Continental) year I had to come back to a Suburban. There is no other vehicle out there that gives me as much for my money as Chevy does. Whether I have it full of family and friends or lumber, no other vehicle gives me such comfort, style and versitality.

Better than expected! - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By tomfw3 - April 19 - 2:00 amGreat vehicle, smooth ride & very comfortable. Even gas mileage is better than expected @ over 15 mpg average(city). Great highway cruiser, quiet and terric tunes. Seats are very comfortable, Im 11 inches taller than my wife & both have no problem getting comfy. Pretty good off the line, plenty of torque. Oh, dealer experience was better than Mercedes, much better (we have a 320e).

Oh What Fun!!!! - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By S. Beck - April 19 - 2:00 amWe chose the 2WD with locking differential and the resulting fuel economy is remarkable. I average nearly 18mg, just wish I would have opted for leather interior.

Love Being a Suburban Owner! - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By page - March 31 - 2:00 amIf you have big kids and travel a lot, you must purchase a Suburban! Me and my husband love the OnStar and XM Radio. It has an excellent ride! We have only had our Suburban 1 month, but we have put over 3,000 miles on it! It makes us just want to travel every chance we get.

GREAT!!! - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By Mary ellen - March 30 - 2:00 amThe braking system stops you very quickly. I was very impressed when I had to stop very quickly on the interstate to avoid another truck that lost his trailer and the car in front of me started skidding and I had to stop dead to avoid a collision.
