Overview & Reviews
Half-ton models now feature standard Hydroboost brakes, a tire-pressure monitoring system and newly styled 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Two-wheel-drive models with traction control now feature a locking rear differential, and the trailering package includes a 7-to-4 pin brake wiring adapter. For added safety, there is now a front passenger seatbelt reminder. Lastly, Chevrolet has lowered the output figures for the Vortec 8100 -- the engine is now rated at 320 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque.
- Choice of powerful V8 engines, Quadrasteer four-wheel steering system, cavernous cargo space, room for nine.
- Massive size can be tough in tight confines, vague steering feel, cheap interior plastics.

My First SUV by Jorge Gonzalez - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By Jagonzo - August 18 - 2:00 amThe most powerful vehicle I ever owned had a 118 horsepower engine. My Z71 has almost 300! Its beautiful and has a smooth ride. It gets lousy mileage but I only work 4 miles from work.

ONE GREAT TRUCK - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By Spectracam - August 11 - 2:00 amThis is one beautiful truck. In fact Its my second Chevy Suburban in a row (the first in 2001). The combination of world class design, styling and build made my choice to go with another Suburban easy. Both vehicles were/are flawless. In my opinion Its the finest example of a SUV on the planet.

Z71 Sub is not a flub - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By jharper99 - August 5 - 2:00 amBought this in October of 2003 and as of August of 2004 had very good luck with this vehicle, it pulls trailers without any problem, goes down the road offering a great ride and has tons of storage with the back seat folded down. Engine has been noise free unlike the 2000 Silverado that I had previously with the 6 liter that sounded like it was going to fall apart every time I cold started it. All in all a great vehicle that Im totally pleased with, could be better but then again what couldnt be?

Not too much to worry about - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By COPEMAN - July 24 - 2:00 amMy wife and I recently purchased a 2002 Suburban with 300 miles from a dealership. Excellent customer service and an all around great vehicle. If you can get over the 12 MPG factor you wont have to much to worry about with this vehicle.

Awsome Sport Ute - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By mossieoak - July 24 - 2:00 amThis is the best sport utility on the market. I have driven 8 different manufacturers (Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Chrysler, ect) and this vehicle beats them hands down. The Chevrolet Tahoe was great but I opted for more room.
