Overview & Reviews
Half-ton models now feature standard Hydroboost brakes, a tire-pressure monitoring system and newly styled 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Two-wheel-drive models with traction control now feature a locking rear differential, and the trailering package includes a 7-to-4 pin brake wiring adapter. For added safety, there is now a front passenger seatbelt reminder. Lastly, Chevrolet has lowered the output figures for the Vortec 8100 -- the engine is now rated at 320 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque.
- Choice of powerful V8 engines, Quadrasteer four-wheel steering system, cavernous cargo space, room for nine.
- Massive size can be tough in tight confines, vague steering feel, cheap interior plastics.

Suburban 2003 - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By janice hetherington - July 12 - 2:00 amHighly recommend to families. Provides ample leg room for everyone. Although truck is big in size, we have found it easy to manuever. The trunk storage is fantastic. Negatives...hard to step into. Gas mileage in city...not great.

Not Bad but Not Good - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By markarian - June 27 - 2:00 amAll those people driving Suburbans, I thought there was something to them. Big, bulky, and horrible on Gas. One of the leather seats is cracking (not sure if they will replace), Stereo took 2 months to get fixed, make a lot of odd noises at odd time (clicking when A/C is on, Rubbing when using brakes) and paint job already showing problems.

My Suburban - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By Ktdrt - June 21 - 2:00 amI have to say that the Chevy Suburban is an all around good SUV. The Options package I have is the "Ducks Unlimited". Had a lot of small problems in the beginning like the locks kept popping out of place, and service engine soon light kept coming on. But overall, is a great SUV. Of course its a gas hog. But.......

Very Pleased - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By CCG - June 14 - 2:00 amVery pleased with the performance so far. Seats are comfortable. This is our first SUV and we love it. Our experience in purchasing this vehicle was the best so far,the dealer knocked off $7500 off the MSRP and a $5000 rebate from GM sealed the deal.

Luv my Subby - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By BruceG - June 2 - 2:00 amOur third Subby. Traded a 99 1500 LT for this new 04 also 1500 LT. A WORLD of difference. Rides much smoother and VERY MUCH quieter. This car gets up and GOES! Stops on a dime, too. No complaints about anything. 2nd Row buckets are great for the kids, keeps footprints off the seats and with three kids involved in all kinds of sports THAT is a good thing and well worth the money. And did I mention kids? They LOVE the DVD, even watch it for short rides.

3/4 Ton - 2004 Chevrolet Suburban
By Last try - May 29 - 2:00 amThis is my 4th 3/4 ton suburban and like all of the rest, it is the best typr of car I have owned. The 1/2 ton has weak brakes and is underpowered for the size and weight and I wouldnt buy another (after 3 tries). One ride in a 3/4 ton was all it took. Ive never taken one oast 60,000 miles because of the cheap interest rates in the past few years, but I have never had repairs other than tune-ups. I have never replaced brakes on a 3/4 ton -- not even pads, while the 1/2 tons need pads every 12000 miles.
