Overview & Reviews
For 2010, the Chevy Malibu gets minor changes. Most notably, the six-speed automatic transmission is now standard on all but the base LS model, thereby helping to improve fuel economy. There's also standard driver power-adjustable lumbar on all models and E85 fuel compatibility for the 2.4-liter engine.
- Strong performance from V6, good four-cylinder fuel economy, excellent ride and handling balance, comfortable seats, straightforward controls, high crash test scores.
- Subpar rear seat space, no rear center armrest, hit-or-miss cabin materials and construction, a few key features are unavailable.

Great to look at... - 2010 Chevrolet Malibu
By Kerrymel - July 17 - 3:58 amLike most cars these days- something major went wrong right after the warranty expired ...the transmission went out. Although I kept up with the maintenance at the dealership/somehow the transmission fluid was black-(sealed pan underneath.)Also airbag lights and tire sensors would not go off. $300 to have a headlight replaced. But a good looking car.

Air bag light - 2010 Chevrolet Malibu
By Terri - March 22 - 4:37 amIs anyone having issues with air bag light going on periodically? Chevrolet dealer stated they cannot repair it unless the light is on when I bring it in. I am concerned about my safety but that does not seem to be a concern of theirs.

By Beth - April 11 - 1:55 amfor a sedan this is a great vehicle. smaller for getting around in parking lots but not so small that you feel as if sitting in a tin can. seats are bigger in front so you are not falling off set at every corner. gas millage is good and trunk is fair sized. love love love my vehicle.

130K Miles and still running strong - 2010 Chevrolet Malibu
By Chepnih - January 24 - 5:46 amSo far so good. I have owned this car for 6 years. Regular maintenance is all it needs. Engine and Transmission still in great shape. A lot more reliable than accord that I used to own. My only issue is with the headlights. You need to spend an hour of labor to change just the bulb. But after watching a few youtube videos, I changed the last one myself.
