Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Toyota Tacoma has been completely redesigned.
- Flexible and refined drivetrains, excellent off-road ability, 18 different body configurations, available stability control, solid build quality and reliability record, well-trimmed interior, unique bed features.
- Manual gearbox still vague through the gears, awkward emergency brake.

2005 Access Cab 4 cyl - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Northof50 - November 13 - 9:06 amAm very pleased with this truck. Excellent build quality, esp. paint. SR5 package has nice amenities. I use the truck mostly back/forth to work. Rides well. Good performance for 4 cyl. Getting 23mpg+. Like innovative one- piece box; made bedliners and spray on coatings obsolete. Wife likes easy handling. Smooth transmission. Handled well in snow; didnt need 4WD.

FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By BigWilcox - October 22 - 2:36 amThis dual cab mid sized is just what this consumer needed. The hood scoop makes it look kinda masculine. It is masculine. Have got 7,000 miles on it and everything is good. Got 20.9 mpg last weekend overall on trip to Charleston. Enjoyed the drive.

A Great Truck - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By AES - October 6 - 12:26 pmThis has been an excellent truck. It is truly fun to drive. The turning radius is short compared to my old F150. The performance and handling is excellent. You have plenty of room inside and the ride is very comfortable. It rides like an expensive car. I have had no problems with it at all.

My Toyota Tacoma - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By A.L.Slatkin - September 3 - 7:30 amI have wanted to have a Tacoma truck for quite sometime. I decided last month that it was the time to get one. So, I traded in my 150 Ford Truck 2000 and got a Double cab, 2wd, PreRunner 2005. It is just what I imagined it to be. Looks great, feels great and just the right size. Not too big, not too small. So, far it has been 3 weeks I am very happy with it. The truck runs very smooth and thus far I have had no problems. I am very satisfied with what I purchased.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By RON MEISLER - August 25 - 10:33 amAll of the accolades about this truck are well deserved. I was waiting for a truck like this to hit the market for several years. I traded in my 1986 GMC pickup truck which I purchased new in 1986.
