This Year's Model Updates:

The Sienna carries into 2003 virtually unchanged. The right-hand power-sliding door is now available on CE models, as are captain's chairs. A complete redesign is due for 2004.

Pros:
  • Camry genes, excellent crash-test ratings, refined powertrain, optional stability control system, available side airbags.
Cons:
  • Dull styling, small size, lacks optimal utility.

  • Say Good-by Windstar - 2003 Toyota Sienna

After the first 6mo. of ownership, no problems or areas of dissatisfaction. The engine is economical and powerfull, well built and quiet. The interior is comfortable, plenty of room and is well structured. Every seat is removable and adjustable. Windstar was larger but we like the slightly smaller size more. The plastic lower pannels on the exterior fend off rocks and road salt and make washing/waxing easier. Brakes; Seinnas brakes are smooth, sure, refined and powerfull, very un Windstar like!

December 9, 2002 we traded our Camry in on a 2003 Toyota Sienna. We have driven the van for 8,400 miles so far. When we received the van, someone had filled the gas tank with bad gas so it was stalling out. We took it back to the dealer and they drained the tank and changed out the fuel injector. We also had problems with the headliner, which rattled at low speeds. The dealer had to use an adapter kit to fix the headliner. In addition the passenger side sliding door lock sending unit was defective. The dealer took care of this matter as well. Since these problems were dealt with the van is fine.

It does it all well: hauls passengers, commutes, hauls a 1000# trailer.

  • 2003 Toyota Sienna mini-van - 2003 Toyota Sienna

This is a very good looking mini-van that has a lot of power and is a very comfortable ride. I can carry 5 other adults in complete comfort and still stow more items behind the third row of seats. The interior space is very user friendly with all the cup holders and places to stow things.

Great Minivan...easy to live with. Drives smooth and solid

  • Oddyssey strikes again - 2003 Toyota Sienna

The Sienna is a terrific car really. Its just that its nut as great and fun to drive as the Town&Country and the Oddyssey. The Sienna lacks quality in the areas of comfort, convenience, price, and driving/ride experience. Other than that its as good as the Oddyssey. Toyota could make their minivan good by maybe fixing the style, adding comfort and more convenience feature like power liftgate and a navigation system like on the Camry and the Land Cruiser and maybe roadside assistance and the Onstar* system like on the Gm cars. In summary the Sienna is a great minivan, but lacks some features.

  • True love.... - 2003 Toyota Sienna

We love our Sienna! We purchased the XLE!" impressive, considering that my husband is known as the ultimate miser! After research, and shopping around, we found just the vehicle. As for the miser, well he says its the best money weve ever spent! Weve had really good reliability with Toyotas, as have our family members (15yrs+) I mentioned miser! We took our first Sunday drive in 12 years just because we enjoy riding in such comfort. The quiet and gentle ride makes conversation enjoyable. Back seat climate control makes kids comfy, and the video entertainment (with cordless headphones....not too expensive either, and well worth the few dollars)keeps the trip pleasent!

Since I purcahesed this Toyota I have been taking this van to the dealership for repairs every 2-3 months. Check engine lights, O2 sensors are some of the more expensive repairs. I regret purchasing this van.

  • Best Family Vehicle Ever - 2003 Toyota Sienna

Comfortable drive anywhere for our family with three teenagers. We even comfortably transported seven passengers, and a load of luggage and gifts on a four hour ride home for Christmas. And believe it or not, we even brought home a dining room suite, including the china cabinet, in three trips using the minivan.

  • Awesome Van - 2003 Toyota Sienna

Great mini-van. Smooth driving with all the little amenities you could ask for in a family vehicle. Awesome turning radius, comfortable interior with room for many. More than enough room for groceries. Love it and wouldnt trade it for anything.
