This Year's Model Updates:

The Sienna carries into 2003 virtually unchanged. The right-hand power-sliding door is now available on CE models, as are captain's chairs. A complete redesign is due for 2004.

Pros:
  • Camry genes, excellent crash-test ratings, refined powertrain, optional stability control system, available side airbags.
Cons:
  • Dull styling, small size, lacks optimal utility.

The Toyota Sienna is a great van, really. Its just that it isnt as fun to drive as the Honda Oddyssey.

  • Why buy Ody?? - 2003 Toyota Sienna

Bought this vehicle for my wife. Originally thought toyota was too high ($$). Dealer made us a better deal than GM dealers - even including the 3K (GM) rebate. Bought it for the implied reliability. Saved over 6K against Honda Ody. My wife thinks its very sporty.

This is my 3rd Toyota Van and I can think of no reason to try any other. The only time I see the dealer is to get an oil change. It is an absolute pleasure to drive with more than adequate power. It actually feels like putting on a glove and youre in control when driving it. For me, and my wife, who drives it frequently, its the only van for us.

  • Step Up - 2003 Toyota Sienna

Did a lot of research to replace our 92 Caravan - lots of good vehicles out there - this is the best for us in terms of size and standard features. A definite step up from our previous car - 4 speed auto, dual side doors, rear ventilation system, and folding seats. Expect that this will be with us for a long time.

  • Thats a winner - 2003 Toyota Sienna

After 8 months of research and debate between Honda, Mazda and Toyota settled on the T despite initial distaste with the exterior appearance (98 percent of the time youre inside it, right?). The $2,500 rebate from Toyota to move the 03s before the updated and admittedly superior 04 hits, sealed the deal. So ended up with a top of the line XLE for the same price as the Honda and with way better reliability and more features than the Mazda.

I drove this car over 1000 mile in one week. I like the quietness and driving comfortness. Best part of this car is $2000 rebate which cost me less than $19000 with the 2nd row captains chair.

  • Love it!! - 2003 Toyota Sienna

I bought my van (CE) used with 108,000 miles on it. The ride is smooth and the handling is very car-like. I took it to my mechanic who said the van is in great shape for a 9-year-old. He suggested I get a new timing belt, a tune-up and a coolant flush, and Ill probably get another 100k out of it! Great purchase!

  • Happy owners - 2003 Toyota Sienna

Our 2003 Sienna has met and exceeded our expectations for comfort, style, (yes even in a mini-van), fuel economy and user friendly options. The low tire pressure indicator system recently saved us from being stranded on the side of the road as it alarmed while we still had a good margin of safety, and air pressure, in our slowly deflating tire. After doing a quick walk around I couldnt immediately see any problem with any of the tires but upon closer examination I found a screw imbeded in our right rear tire. After repairing the alarm reset itself. We also love the fold down or recline capability of all of the rear seats.

  • 2003 Toyota Sienna CE - 2003 Toyota Sienna

I purchased the 03 Sienna CE without a test drive and I really feel regret about it. I guess I expected more paying $26K for a brand new car. The CE performs poorly when I make turns (my body lean to one side); acceleration is so so as well as the brake. Interior room is small and getting in&out of the car is somehow difficult. I dont feel the same when I drove the Honda Odyssey EX. If I have a choice again, I will purchase the Odyssey instead, for its superb handling and generous interior room, though it would costs me $3,000 more.

  • Gotta have it! - 2003 Toyota Sienna

I bought this van 4 months ago and I love it! Before this I owned a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan that gave me nothing but trouble. I put $3000.00 into it for a new transmission, new raditor, new electric system and brake system to start. This vehicle only had 60,000 miles on it. I decided to get rid of it when I was told the whole front end was going! Anyway I have owned toyotas before and they are the best vehicles on the road. You will not be sorry buying a siena. I researched all the other minivans from reliability to features to price to customer reviews. It by far beats other vans. I will not buy anything else!!
