This Year's Model Updates:

The Sienna carries into 2003 virtually unchanged. The right-hand power-sliding door is now available on CE models, as are captain's chairs. A complete redesign is due for 2004.

Pros:
  • Camry genes, excellent crash-test ratings, refined powertrain, optional stability control system, available side airbags.
Cons:
  • Dull styling, small size, lacks optimal utility.

  • Great Van that Keeps on Running - 2003 Toyota Sienna

We bought this van at the end of the 2003 model because we liked the interior better than the newer 2004 model that was being sold. Weve put 144,000 niles on it and see no reason to buy something new. The repair history has been great. Weve used it to transport soccer teams, drywall, furniture and babies. We installed a 2 inch receivr on the rear and use it to tow light trailers on a regular basis.

This van was very easy to decide on, because it didnt drain my wallet, and it was an eye catcher. The Sienna is the best van out there because its the right size, and it didnt look boxy like the Honda.

This is my third review on our 03 symphony. After almost 5 yrs and 48000 miles, it has been reliable. We changed the power steering pump in warranty. other than that its been good. Good gas mileage. We have seen some sign of rusting on front passenger door. Please share experiences after 5 yrs.

  • Love the Sienna, Sold the Bimmer! - 2003 Toyota Sienna

Never thought Id own a minivan but I needed the space. Test drove tons of them, bought the Sienna and love it! Thought I would keep my 03 BMW 325i wagon but ended up selling it. I enjoy driving this van and its so plush, not cramped at all like my wagon. Handles surprisingly well for such a big vehicle. If youre having trouble letting go of your car and feel like youre too cool to drive a van, get over it! The Sienna is awesome and fun! Great sound system. JBL speakers rival the Harmon-Kardon in the BMW. Mileage is awfully good, too. Love it, love it!

  • My first minivan experience - 2003 Toyota Sienna

Well, we finally outgrew our mid-size car and had to purchase a minivan. We chose between a Honda Odyssey and a Toyota Sienna. We really liked the Odysseys magic seat, but realized that with five family members we couldnt afford to "lose" all three seats in the back. The Sienna offered an easy folding 50/50 split third seat which I have already used. Also, the Sienna had skid control as well as traction control - Odyssey only had traction control. Both minivans had great crash test ratings, but the Sienna had better reliability rating by Consumer Reports. My husband dreaded buying a minivan, but has been very pleased with the Sienna.

  • The Best Spontaneous Decision - 2003 Toyota Sienna

After Driving a minivan for 5 years, my husband decided to go with an SUV but the price range was so high even with 0% financing. We decided to go with another minivan but Toyota delearship was just across the street from where we were, so we decided to check them out. Wow! I loved the way it drive, smooth and quiet. Even if we had to pay an extra $5000 on the finance charge, we went ahead and bought the minivan because we know that it will be a better investment than what we had before.

  • good buy - 2003 Toyota Sienna

today is 2nd anniversary of our 03 sienna. I never imagined to be really competing with my wife to drive this..Just plain good ride. Quiet, smooth ride. Feels powerful, good gas milege. The only problem with it is had a squeaking power stearing gear had to replace power steering pump under warranty. No fatigue on a few trip from St. Paul to Chicago. My 3 yr old prefers this car over my 1999 altima whenver we got out and ask her choice..

  • Sienna=smooth, reliable..Ford-thbbb! - 2003 Toyota Sienna

The 2003 Sienna XLE is a whole new world compared to our previous Windstar - smooth, QUIET, solid, comfortable, literally glides down the road, split rear seat (easier to remove than a solid bench eventhough it doesnt fold away), reliable so far (10,000 mi and not problem 1), EVERYTHING WORKS ALL THE TIME, sunroof, 2 settings of heat in leather seats, great JBL stereo, dash layout is nice, liter bottle holders in doors handy, roof is lower than Windstar so loading bikes on top will be easy. We are picky about cars and Toyota has raised the bar for our expectations - bought a corolla 3 months later and looking at an avalon for next purchase!
