All I expected and more - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Carol - November 30 - 7:46 amAfter only two weeks, I love it. Gas mileage about as expected for stop and go - about 23mpg. This is my first 4-cyl, but no problems getting on the highway, etc. More leg room in the second row than my previous car. Easy to park and great to look at. Cant wait to take it on a trip.

REDESIGNED 2006 RAV4 ROCKS - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By doodledn - November 12 - 11:36 pmOwned 99 4Runner which I loved - wanted something smaller that was roomy enough for surfboards that had better gas mileage. I COULDNT BE HAPPIER WITH MY PURCHASE!!! Better mileage, smoother ride (camry chasis), more HP... quality of vehicle is top shelf! Back seats come down easily, storage and access throughout vehicle grade A. Hats off to Toyota... I get compliments on the vehicle all the time...

CANT GO WRONG - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By RAV4 OWNER123 - October 22 - 10:46 amAll in all, the 06 Rav4 cant be beat. When it came time to purchase a new car for the family, we actually looked at the new Camry and Highlander. In fact, we were walking in to purchase the Highlander when I saw the Rav4. I stopped our agent and said "I want that". My gas mileage is great. Im getting EPA estimates - and Im a teen so I drive it ruff. The quality is great and the look is awesome.

2006 Toyota Rav4 - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By txbanshee - October 13 - 8:53 amGreat small SUV with lots of power. We drove all the SUVs in this class and none seem to have the power or reliablity that the Rav4 offered. Switching from a honda accord exV6 my wife wanted something with some go. Most of the SUVs just seem to underpowered for long trips.

Raves for the Rav4 - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Pam Tarpey - October 11 - 11:20 amMy husband and I traded in our second mid-sized SUV for the Rav4 and are thrilled with the car. The 4 cylinder is peppy and the car looks and feels like a luxury automobile. The inside rear compartment is smartly layed out and easy to adjust with the touch of a button. The car was originally for my husband, but I like it so much that I am trading in my treasured convertible so that I can drive this gem. We tested all of the competition, but as far as value, looks and being fun to drive, none even came close. It is our first Toyota, but it wont be our last!

I had swore Never to buy an SUV!!! - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Driving Enthusiast. - September 6 - 12:26 pmIve always disliked SUVs from the big tub-o-lard land whales to the mini cute-utes. The RAV 4.3 (3rd generation) V6 Sport 2WD has exceeded my expectations for a fuel efficient, versatile, roomy, sporty, and cost effective vehicle.

Rav4 06 3.5L 2WD after 3.5k miles - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By Calin - July 25 - 5:06 pmWe bought it for brand reliability, utility and looks. We use to take 10-15 hrs drive roadtrips. Mileage is 16-22 city and 26-30 freeway. It completely depends on how you drive it. If you tend to rev over 2400 rpm when accelerating and over 2000 rpm normal driving you will get low mpg, otherwise you can get the 22/30 mpg. We love it as it is fun to drive at decent mileage and has plenty of space for how it looks from outside. The antenna does not bother you too much. We found the seat cushion ergonomics not so pleasant after 10 hr driving. Seat cushion is too hard and not long enough. A long drive can be uncomfortable.

You Go Rav! - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By bob franks - July 22 - 2:06 amAgile handling, good gas economy with the inline 4-cyl engine but has plenty of power. Took five hour trip to bring daughter and her new baby home for a visit. Had my mom in front with me, my daughter and wife sat in the back with the baby/carseat in backseat center. Carseat installed easily. Fit our luggage in the well under the rear cargo floor, and filled the cargo area with all the baby paraphenlia with no problem whatsoever. Even with this full load, the 4-cyl had plenty of power for highway driving and it still handled like a dream. Son-in-law loved its rugged look; and we the interior dash is awesome looking - looked at the competitors and RAV beat them all

Wow - 2006 Toyota RAV4
By sean20202020 - July 10 - 6:23 amAfter considering CR-V, Tucson, Sportage. I got 4 cyl, AWD, Base, a couple od days ago in Canada. Its so rock solid and precise. Nice quality. Everything is tighten. Big enough for 2 kids and 2 adults. Engine room looks well organized. I can see what quality means. I recommend to anybody who wants this size and quality SUV. If youre a Honda fan, you may wait until all new CR-V come out this summer and see. But I wont regret.
