This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Toyota Prius lineup gets a little racier, as Toyota adds the Prius Touring model, which has a sport-tuned suspension, 16-inch alloy wheels, foglamps, xenon headlights and a larger rear lip spoiler. The other notable change for 2007 is that the original Toyota hybrid car now comes standard with front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags.

Pros:
  • Outstanding gas mileage, low emissions, generous amount of interior room, easy to maneuver in tight spaces, excellent build quality, reasonable price.
Cons:

Bought his Car 2 weeks ago. MPG are amazing. First week to fill it out was $20.00. I ran about 400 miles with a full tank combined with city and highway. I have no complaints at all. Great Car. I shouldve bought it 2 years ago.

So far the car is doing a excellent job. The dash read out is excellent, love the fuel mileage, I came out of a Land Rover discovery, 12MPG. I am 6 ft 7 inches tall and fit as as good as I did in my discovery. I would suggest this car to anyone.

This new Prius carried us through the south east of Arizonas mountains and deserts with a comfortable, efficient, and quiet weekend. New to us were the hybrid drive and the electronic technology. Im old school where my transportation equipment is concerned. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive. Not as powerful as a 5 liter Mustang, not even close. The Honda civic that we traded in could not make the acceleration that I experienced merging onto I-10 in Benson, AZ. I had misjudged the traffic and opened the throttle. The gasoline and electric combination proved itself then. The electronic equipment calculates the mileage and was verified accurate at the pump at 52 mpg for the trip.

I have driven many "luxury" vehicles, including lexus and mercedes, nothing compares to this car. This is, by leaps and bounds, the best purchase I ever made. This is a GREAT car!

  • Youve Gotta Love It! - 2007 Toyota Prius

We have been wanting to buy a hybrid for a couple of years. When we were shopping for a hybrid, we also considered the Honda Civic Hybrid but ended up buying the Prius due to its interior room and extra gas mileage. Since buying the Prius in August, we have put over 13,000 miles on it. This car has been our primary vehicle replacing our need to drive our 4-Runner as much. Contrary to what many drivers think this little car does have fairly good pick up, We love watching the MPG surpass 51 but we have been averaging 47-49 MPG. We also love the navigation and sound system but we do not like the back-up alarm. All in all we would love to have another Prius if it werent so expensive.

Im 63" tall and the Prius is big enough for me. It is comfortable and fun to drive. So far Im averaging 48 miles per gallon, doing mostly city driving.

  • The Best Hybrid Yet! - 2007 Toyota Prius

When Honda first introduced the first Hybrid vehicle on the market, it didnt do such of a large impact, simply because fuel economy was not such a concern several years ago but now since the high prices of gasoline has reflected off my new 07 Prius I seem to realize I have not only purchased a gas saving car, but I bought the best hybrid yet! With its remarkable value; lower prices, more to choose from, and better looks, it totally beat any hybrid in its price- range! I totally enjoy every piece of metal used on my car, and I seemed to realize, it was one of the greatest investments in my life that I have conducted...Because of what I have done, I have

I have been driving my Prius for 2 months and it is by far the best car (out of 8 that I have owned) I have owned. Im averaging 47.5 mpg - 75% highway, 25% city - I was expecting low 40s so I am thrilled. I have been impressed with the pickup and interior room.

  • 260,000 miles, no rattles, no creaks, no maintenance - 2007 Toyota Prius
    By -

I have driven a lot of great cars but this is by far tops. 260,000 miles, and not one creak, rattle or squeak..and that includes the brakes. I have never even had to change breaks or turned rotars, and my car drives perfectly straight still. Using engine to break and recharge battery saves the brakes!! Power is great, I can pass and go 90 mph if I wanted and engine has no straining. Oh and I have never had a tuneup either. My leather seats only have a side split in drivers seat, leather steering wheel still looks new. Dont be fooled, its spacious and comfy. I am 61" and used to have back aches from driving so much, but this cars smooth ride has changed that too! Has saved me a fortune!
