Excellent Car - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By Charlie B. - July 31 - 10:00 amIve owned this vehicle for 10 months now with NO problems at all. This has been my experience with Toyota vehicles since 1992. The domestic big 3 lost me as a customer because of quality and reliability problems. The model owned is an XR 4wheel drive. This car didnt let me down even with the blizzard of 03 in the Northeast! Its very easy to enter and exit with the high doors provided. For people with back trouble its a blessing.

Best car I have driven - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By Beulah - July 2 - 4:53 pmI love this car. My husband and I went out West last year. We drove our Matrix there and back. We drove over 4,000 miles. We got 32 miles to a gallon of gas. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed our trip in this car.

Great "Vehicle". cant call it a car - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By WVcop - May 30 - 10:00 amBought this car for the wife as a "work" car because she liked the looks and it got great gas milage. i drive a police car all day and have an 86 trans am that i enjoy on the weekends. The Matrix XR that we got is just as fun to drive as either one of them. I highly recomend the Matrix.

Xr Matrix - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By John Hasler - May 7 - 2:00 amThe Toyota Matrix performance wise lacks low end torque and noisy at highway speeds. Trd Super Charger should take care of the torque problem. Toyota has always been known to have high reving engines. Handling is snow/wet conditions is very good just remember u have O/D (OVER DRIVE)......

Fun Car - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By Matrix NV - April 11 - 10:00 amWith an automatic it is a little underpowered. The fun factor of the car is impressive. I read Edmunds review and I dont think they did this car justice. The handling was very good. It huggs the road like glue. Take off is good for an econemy four cylinder. I think the power of the XR model might be better at low end than the XRS. The exhuast note is very cool. It has a racey sound to it. The value is very good. I looked at a Rav4 but you get more for your money with the Matrix. I think it should be noted that viewing this car online makes it appear to be in-line with a Ford Focus. Not true. Actually this is an SUV/Car.

Consider the Vibe too! - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By Gogginsmit - April 6 - 10:00 amI test drove both the Vibe GT and the Matrix XRS and contrary to what the Toyota salesmen may state, the cars are interiors and mechanics of the cars are identical. Really, the main difference is that Pontiac consistently seems to offer more rebates, financing incentives, and seems to haggle more. Be sure to price out both before you make a decision!

Zig Zag it up to a V6 - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By BOOMERce - March 30 - 2:00 amThis is a great little car. While it is not as big as a SUV I can still fit everything I need in it and get better than 15MPG

Bryans XR - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By Bryan D Potyk - March 19 - 10:00 amMileage has been awesome. With AC about 32 MPG around town. Without I can do about 34-35 MPG. I drive the speed limit period. Great car I can fit 400 + pound of electric bass equipment in the car. Great all around car for comuting and the occasional short trip to the coast.

Love My Car - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By yesenia - March 8 - 2:00 amI love the car very much. But as far as changes the seats can be a little more comfortable and when i want it to go fast i really have to step on it to go its not with the slitest touch but it still goes when it does and i love my car.
