My wife and I just got our new Corolla and we love it. If I had one word to describe it the word would be value. We also have a 2002 Mazda Protege and we like it too but the Toyota seems to be superior in quality, ride, and mpg.

  • Mrs. Destiny! - 2006 Toyota Corolla

Life with my new car (destiny) is great. 2006 Toyota Corolla LE, it drives so great! The gas mileage I have to say is the best, I say, I fill up maybe once every 2 weeks. The tank takes about 11 gallons, so on an average 30.00, on 3.19 a gallon. I love my car, the driving is great, its a dream! I would reccommend Toyota in general to anyone, and its my first new, new car! I love it! Good luck!

  • Dangerous in High Winds - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Basic transportation at best. It is not built to the quality level of Honda. High Wind / Rain on the highway blow the vehicle all over the road, and provides for tense driving. Two hands on the wheel are mandatory. The car "sails" with virtually no feel of the road in rain conditions. Numerous dash rattles, squealing brakes, and a front drivers seat which doesnt sit in the track properly are primary complaints.

This car is the best in its class, hands down! Best in price with air, CD, power mirrors standard and toyota corollas are more dependable according to consumer reports.

  • Good choice for a long commute - 2006 Toyota Corolla

Overall this is a great vehicle. After two years, there are no visible problems, and I have been very impressed with its reliability. Interior looks great and it is a comfortable way to make my hour-long commute every morning.

  • Not as good as i thought? - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Had since 06 and been reliable except for the following. Had to have all brakes put on at 65k and Im easy with the brake pedal so not sure why Id need new brakes already but ole well. Horn stopped working after 45k miles. Needing tires now but thats a wear and tear item. They held up quite well knowing I have them still on and the car has 71k on it. Lights keep going out here and there. License plate light and one of the front hi beams keeps going out for some reason. The flashers dont work and havent since 48k miles. Not sure why? The dealer said it a electrical problem and my warranty wouldnt cover it. Other than that no major issues. Engine fine for now. Thank god!

  • Nice car by Jsun - 2006 Toyota Corolla

This is my first Toyota. What can i say it is a great car so far w/ only 7xx mi on it! Love the external red impulse color. I wish it did better on fuel economy though. Only getting 26mpg so far, but should improve the more i drive i HOPE!! Only have driven in city so not sure how the MPG for highway will be yet. I hope it lasts my a long time, bc i plan on owning it a long time! The dash could use some refinement.(kinda plain looking?) seats very comfortable. Traded my so- called Lemon Scion Xa 06 for this. Hopefully this car will be a better one for me! Loving it so far! My first car w/ DRL! Never have to mess w/ the headlight switch unless i want to use the brights. It best LAST!!!

  • I love this car, but I wish ... - 2006 Toyota Corolla
    By -

I love this car. Its reliable, its sort of fun to drive, and it gets great gas mileage. I wish I hadnt gotten the CE base model though, because it lacks power windows, doors, and cruise control. I had to have the cruise control installed aftermarket. It started making this weird sound every time I started it up, that would go away after a while. Ran great, no problems. Then my girlfriend bought a Lexus (Toyota motor) and it made the same sound, so I stopped worrying about it. If you want a great little commuter car that is super reliable, then this is your car.
