  • Great Car - 2006 Toyota Corolla

I recently switched from driving a truck, so my opinions are skewed a bit. I personally dont like being low to the pavement or the small mirrors compared to what my truck used to be, but the gas milage is awesome! Its a sharp looking car with a comfortable ride. The positives far outweigh the two negatives I mentioned earlier, but those are due to the change in vehicle type, I would be saying that about any car that I would have chosen. I recommend this car.

I work & stay 100 miles from home so the car gets a regular dose of highway driving to return home. Performance is excellent! The car does not want to stay at the speed limit and given the opportunity, would be a favorite of state police. I actually forget when I last filled the tank. Gas mileage is excellent. The 4 speed automatic works great and when I kick down to pass, it downshifts at highway speed. This little car will get going! How can they couple such performance with miserly gas consumption? I had economy vehicles in the past that when floored, offered a slight difference in engine noise but no "GO". The days of the "economy" cars (spelled "DOG") have changed forever.

Other than the drivers side side mirrors having blind spots I really love this car. I get 32-35 mpg. Had to replace a belt at 35000 miles. No other problems. This car is as simple as it gets but parts not there wont cause trouble. It wont win any races and if you dont mind not to have power doors or windows and can drive a standard, this could be a great car for you.

I purchased my Toyota Corolla in September 2005. I chose the silver mica color and have no regrets. This color always looks clean even during the winter. I wanted a car with real good gas mileage and the Corolla has not disappointed me once bit! If your looking for a car that will not eat into your wallet then make sure you check out this car. Very fun to drive and good pickup.

The only thing this car has going for it is its fuel economy. If you are looking for a new car because of the gas prices and dont mind giving up handling and performance, this car is for you. Otherwise, this is not a car for new drivers (very poor handling) or car enthusiast.

Great car. Always fun to drive. I drove about 350 miles on 1 tank of gas. Who doesnt love that with the gas prices nowadays? Very reliable. I would recommend it to anyone.

We love the fuel mileage on our new S series. My teenagers love it and are fighting over whos going to inherrit it. It handles well, is easy to drive, and the price was excellent. I parked my Dodge Ram which was getting 10.5 mpg @ $3.49 per gallon Diesel. The way I see it, what I save on fuel alone will make my new payment. I am very happy with my decision.

Traded in my Chrysler Cirrus and I loved that car. Didnt take long to love the Corolla. Ride not as smooth at the Cirrus and some of the luxury features are not there...but the other things have made up for it. MPG, temperature gauge and I like the simplicity of the inside controls. I am glad I bought it and have no regrets so far. I only have 108 miles on it!

Bought this car, a 2006 in 2011 with 38,470 miles. The dealer had put some junk tires on it, so I immediately replaced them with Goodyear Eagles. I have had no problems with car, None. Zip. Nada. I use Mobil1 and Mobil1 filter and go 75000 miles between changes, and bought a battery also, even though it was not giving me trouble it was original, 5 years old so I pre-emptive avoided any problems. Starts first time, every time, on just a couple turns of cranking, even in 0°F. I overpaid a bit, but oh well, still no regrets. Absolutely no peers ij reliability, and I disagree about not fun to drive. One time on a long trip I got 41mpg. Perfect blend of power and economy.
