This Year's Model Updates:

A sporty new XRS model debuts boasting a 170-horsepower engine and a sport-tuned suspension. Additionally, all Corollas receive a restyled front fascia and rear taillights. The LE model now has Lexus-like Optitron instrumentation, along with a cloth-trimmed center console and sun visors. Side curtain airbags, stability control and a JBL audio system are all new options.

Pros:
  • Refined and roomy interior, excellent gas mileage and crash test scores, long list of safety features, spunky XRS model, illustrious reliability record.
Cons:
  • Awkward driver-seat position, bland personality, gets pricey when even basic features are desired, sedan body style only.

  • Awesome Car, even for those over 6 ft - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Just purchased my 2005 Corolla S. It is the best car I have ever owned. For the price you just cant beat the quality of it. I am 6 ft 3 in and 210 lbs and I have plenty of legroom and headroom even with the sunroof. I would recomend this car to anyone

  • Great value - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I purchased my 2005 Corolla LE several weeks ago and very pleased so far. The interior is extremely refined and comfortable for a car in this price range. The rear seats have a lot of legand head room for a compact car. Driving is surprisingly smooth and comfortable by small car standards. Fuel economy is great - in mostly highway driving, I have been averaging about 36 mpg. Add in Toyotas sterling reputation for reliability and I highly recommend the Corolla to anyone looking for an inexpensive, but not "cheap" vehicle.

  • You Can Feel the Quality - 2005 Toyota Corolla

With 6,000 miles on my 2005 Corolla now, I am very impressed with the performance and feel of this car. I do not have even one small complaint about any aspect of the driving performance - good acceleration, good cornering, good visibility, good breaking, etc. I am 62" and have plenty of head room.

  • An Absolute Winner !!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I bought this as a follow-up to a 99 Corolla that is still in the family. This one is loaded with a 5-speed and cruise control - I get 33 mpg in the city and 42-44 mpg on the highway with cruise on. This car is extremely fun to drive, very responsive, and for a smaller car is very quiet on the highway. The AC works great in 90-100 temps. Standing 63" I cannot believe the leg room I have in this car, and, I dont even have to have the seat all the way back to drive. The seat is very comfortable as I went from Ohio to Philadelphia without getting the back ache or lower body aches. I highly recommend this Toyota winner !!!!

  • My Third Corolla - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

The 2005 Corolla replaced a 10 year old Toyota Tercel with 250,000 miles on it and is my third Corolla since 1978. Ive owned the Corolla for 14 months and have 45,000 miles on it now. No problems-very reliable. The car gets about 36 mpg. Ive driven to both the East Coast, West Coast and Florida from Chicago. The car did great in the mountains and through the California desert. The Corolla looks very stylish in charcoal grey. I love it. Looks like my next car will be a Corolla too, but Im planning on getting a quarter million miles out of this car too.

  • Pleasure to drive - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I purchased my 2005 Corolla LE in January 2005 and absolutely love it. It is very comfortable and the drive is very smooth. I traded in my 2000 MR2 Spyder for this car. I normally only purchase Toyotas that are built in Japan. This car was built in Canada and feels very solid.

  • Love it - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I just bought my car 3 days ago, but I love it. I had my heart set on a Mazda 6 for a while but it was a little too expensive for my budget so my next choice was the Carolla. Just today, I was parked next to a Mazda 6 the same color as mine, and I actually like the body of mine better. Also, with gas prices so high, this car is excellent on gas. Its a fun car and I know Toyotas last forever. Id recommend it to anyone.

  • Glad I decided on the Corolla - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Been looking for a subcompact for a month and finally decided on the Corolla. Drove it home today and felt better with each mile. A truly solid, well constructed car. Better mileage than Mazda 3 and Focus. A lot more car than the Civic with a better warranty.

  • Fun car - 2005 Toyota Corolla

Fuel economy is great and you dont have to sacrifice looks to get this in a car. This is a very fun car to drive and I recommend this car to anyone.

  • What I like - 2005 Toyota Corolla

This car has one of the best engines on the market. Performance is amazing even when driven under harsh conditions. The exterior is crisp, sharp and up with the times. I love the size on the inside. The Corolla S Type is roomy and offers great head room. Of all the small cars I have owned in the past, the Toyota Corolla S is the top of the crop.
