  • Pray you dont have a problem - 2003 Toyota Camry

The computer chips in the Camry seem to be hard for the dealer to diagnose. My Camry has been in the shop for 45 days in the six months I have owned it. Toyota at both the dealership and regional level treats you like you are public enemy number 1 for daring to have a problem with their car. The biggest mistake of my consumer career has been the purchase of my second Toyota.

  • Nice, but not nearly the best - 2003 Toyota Camry

A car built to serve daily routines, devoid of any fun or excitement

  • Loose Drivers Seat - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

The drivers seat design is poor. The seat "pops" while driving. I am told that this is a normal feature. It is very distracting to have the seat move when I start and stop. Ive had anti- freeze leaks(4). The cars ride is poor-it has a tendency to roll while driving in a straight line.

  • Lots of Noise - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

Lots of noise with this new car. 1st the windows. Dealer replaced window regulator & slider but only help a little. Still got window rattle noise. 2nd noise is an odd ticking or snapping noise coming from the rear center dash area. It sounds as if there something like plastic that is rubbing against each other. It happens sporadically, but is really annoying. The dealer cant fix it and the dealer called Toyota for a fix, but Toyota says no fix. Anyone riding in the car remarks about the noise and surprised seeing thats its in a almost new car.

  • Like the car but not the company - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

With less than 10,000 miles on the engine, it blew. Documentation that oil was changed was provided, yet they did not honor the warranty. In addition to being out the money for a new engine, I had to pay for a rental car for 3 months. Their explanation for not covering the engine under the warranty was that they couldnt be sure it was their fault. The product shouldnt be the only thing that plays into the purchase of a car. If you buy a Toyota, I hope you have better luck with the company than I have had.
