The Toyota 4Runner has revised exterior styling for 2006, highlighted by new bumpers, lamps, grille and lower cladding. There are also new 18-inch alloy wheels for the Limited model and a new roof rack and tube steps for the Sport Edition. Toyota has also thickened the 4Runner's windshield and front window glass for reduced wind noise. In terms of new standard features, there's now an auxiliary audio jack for portable devices and power seating for the Sport and SR5 V8, and a seat memory feature and a six-disc CD changer for the Limited.

  I just bought this car and Im very satisfied with it. Im still in the process of breaking in the car, but its still a plesaure to drive it. Just feathering the gas makes the car accelerate quickly.

  Solid, quiet, fun! One drive and I was hooked. After driving a Mercury Mountaineer for 9 years, this truck feels like driving a sports car (and I dont even have the sport suspension). Definitely a truck but the smoothest riding and quietest truck Ive even driven. Havent heard a single rattle or squeak. Toyota quality cant be beat!

  Everything on this truck feels well-made. Everything is put together with Toyota-solidity. It looks good, it drives well, its comfortable, it gets a lot of positive remarks, its gas mileage is decent for its size and engine (19mpg-average), and I feel good driving it. Like most SUVs of the past and few today, I feel like I could drive through anything (on- or off-road) and get there safely.

  I love my 4 runner, bought it used with about 20k miles on it (at near 50k now). No issues at all and love driving it. I average about 14 commuting (bit of a lead foot) and maybe 18 on the highway. Towing a 5000lb boat gives a terrifying 9mpg. Other than that its a mean lil truck.

  Absolutely zero defects after 4 months and 5000 miles. Gas mileage holding at 19.5 mpg with mixed city and highway driving. Best of all, wife loves it more each time she drives it to work. Probably the best vehicle, new or used that I have owned during the past 40 years. Wife believes now she would have preferred the leather seats for added comfort.

  I just passed my 3 year anniversary with my 2006 4Runner Sport and the build quality on this vehicle continues to amaze me. (knock on wood) To date Ive not had a single repair item, the only service work Ive had done are oil changes and regularly scheduled maintenance. Totally awesome even by Toyota standards! For a mid-size SUV the 4Runner is as good as it gets with a strong V6 motor, adequate mileage, great styling and comfort and the awesome reliability that I previously mentioned. For the first time in a long time Im 3 years into a vehicle and Im not thinking about unloading it for the next bright shiny thing that catches my attention. Its a beautiful thing :) !!

  What is there to say, the 4runner is the best. Number one in resale value in its class, great looks, super sporty, great engine and performance, super shiny paint, and of course great Toyota reliability. No trips to dealer for knucklehead repairs.

  Had a Highlander ,and was impressed. Thought Id try something a little larger and found the 4- Runner to be just the right fit. Very roomy and the power to boot in a V-6. Now that gas has gone down it is very good on the pocket.Overall very pleased with the vehicle.

  Excellent SUV.The attention to detail from Japanese auto makers (dont even go to chevy or ford) and the quality, reliability is perfect - this is my 6th TOYOTA. Maintenance every 5K miles and youre gonna be just fine - great truck, smooth, easy to drive - it feels like a sedan I have a lot of fun...TOYOTA keep up the good work!!!

  Enjoy the vehicle more than expected. I bought it as a practical alternative to what I would have preferred (H2). It drives, rides and looks great. Until a recent storm, the black paint was near flawless and immaculate. I receive a lot of compliments about the vehicle and its appearance. I purchased the V8 and am grateful that I did.
