Lousy Transmission - 2006 Toyota 4Runner
By Jay Alan - February 27 - 7:03 pmI bought this truck after having a 2002 GMC Envoy. Since I bought this truck, Ive noticed the vehicle shifts up or down harshly and at the wrong speeds. When the ac is on, the idle is so high that the truck seems to drive itself. Coming off the highway, the car lurches forward when youre merging onto a new road. Very disappointing and cant wait to get rid of it.

By melady - January 15 - 7:03 pmWell, what did I expect? Its a truck, after all- and it drives like one. I was used to car-frame SUVs, and must say I miss their agility and ability to handle curves without slowing down to 25 mph! Mine is top of the line, but it feels cheap inside. Ive also been used to German vehicles, and have learned that once youre used to that level of quality, its hard to retreat to the Japanese style of imprecise steering and general loosey-gooseyness in the handling department. Affordability is excellent, but next time Ill definitely go back to a German vehicle that makes driving a pleasure, not something that must simply be endured.
