Subaru completely redesigns the Impreza and brings a high-performance turbocharged WRX variant into the fold to offer enthusiasts the opportunity to drive a powerful, all-wheel-drive sport sedan without breaking the bank. All Imprezas benefit from improvements in performance, refinement and safety. Along with the Impreza's trip upmarket come revised trim levels consisting of two sedans (WRX and 2.5 RS) and three wagons (WRX, Outback Sport and 2.5 TS Sport Wagon). The coupe body style has been dropped.

• A stout 227 horsepower in the WRX, all-wheel drive, a variety of sedans and wagons to choose from.

• No more coupe, extroverted styling may be too much for some.

  Without a doubt this is the most fun Ive ever had driving a car. The WRX is the ultimate driving machine for anyone. All I can say is go out today and buy one.

  Im really enjoying this vehicle. Ive owned it for over a year now and I still find it fun to drive. That says a lot given the number of cars Ive owned over the years and the fact that this is, as my title indicates, my third Subaru (My wife drives a 98 Forester and expects to for quite some time). The car is "peppy", comes with most of the "necessary" accessories and still elicits comments from strangers at the gas pumps. The recognized safety features cannot be overlooked. ...a recommended vehicle

  Bought my 2002 WRX from a college kid with 81k miles on it about 6 months ago. Car was quick, fun and clean as a whistle. Ive seen these cars take more abuse than anything I would ever do to it and keep running. Put about a grand into the car and it out- performs its STI counterpart no problem. Keep up on regular checks and maintain your ride, cant beat the sound and feel of this car for ten grand. Get a quiet exhaust, up-pipe, downpipe and your mileage goes from 24-25 mpg to about 27.

  Very quick, handles great, fun to drive, yet practical enough that I can use it for work. This car does what you want it to, want to go fast and take some turns agressively? No problem, want to settle down and set the cruise (you wont)and listen to the killer sound system? Go ahead and you will be suprised at the ride and lack of road noise. It handles the daily commute grind as well as your favorite twisty road.

  23,000 miles and this car is still absolutely problem free, running strong, and fun to drive! I love the standard all wheel drive and anti-lock brakes, they make for very sure footed driving in rain and snow. I have had several long distance trips in this car and it is a pleasure on the highway, and it averaged a nice 29 mpg!
