Overview & Reviews
A new 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 3.0-liter unit. Larger 17-inch wheels and tires are now standard on the V6 AWD model and optional on the front-wheel-drive version. Antilock brakes are standard on all V6 models. The interior has been upgraded to reduce noise and now incorporates metallic and leather trim. The front seats now have seatbelt pre-tensioners and dual-stage front airbags. New entertainment choices include MP3-compatible CD players, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system (late availability).
- Strong V6, large doors ease entry/exit, spacious cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
- Bland interior, low-grade plastics, inconsistent build quality, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

LOVING IT!!! - 2004 Saturn VUE
By jehnny penny - December 9 - 2:00 amThis Sport-ute rocks my world! The buying experience was Saturn approved. Ive had 3 Saturns and no matter what the review companies say the trade in value is great after a few years. And the build quality is as good as my friends Hondas and Toyotas. This engine flys and is a smooth operator. I would suggest this SUV to anyone who wants a big bang for their buck!

It is about time - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Cook911411 - November 22 - 10:00 amI have always been a domestic car buyer. Why? I could have spent less in repairs if I bought a Camry or Accord 5-10 years ago. Then I hear Saturn is using Honda 3.5L motors and trannys. It is about time. Obviously U.S. autos lack the refinement and reliability (GM still puts a pushrod V6 in everything.) Remember Pontiac? Cavalier, Sunfire? Why is it so loud and creaky in American cars after a few years? As an unsatisfied owner of a 96 Impala SS (the pinnacle of American rear wheel drive cars) with 85K miles on it and $6K in non-maintenance repair bills, I vowed to never buy American again. Now I am an owner of a Saturn. My mom has had a few SL1s w/ 120

Very Happy Vue Owner - 2004 Saturn VUE
By dwweiss - November 21 - 8:30 amDrove from Little Rock to Virginia the day that I bought the vehicle. The first trip was a total of 1950 miles at a average MPG of 25.5. A steady delight on the highway. Since then have mainly had commute and round town experience. Just as pleased with local driving. Now have around 3000 miles on the odo. V6 is peppy, smooth, quiet. Smooth shifting 5speed automatic. In town mileage has been between 15 and 18 MPG. Recently had snow/ice - was able to go where others slid. I am very pleased with this purchase.

A Saturn Convert - 2004 Saturn VUE
By resQjim - September 9 - 2:00 amV-6 has great "get up & go".. Steering is no problem if you know a vehicles strong points as well as limitations. Interior is nice...Not a car for status symbol drivers but it looks like this is a "winner" as you get the best "bang for your buck"

You cant go wrong with this SUV - 2004 Saturn VUE
By BlackOnyx - September 9 - 2:00 amThis is one reliable SUV from Saturn. I think the 3.5L V6 motor and transmission supplied by Honda is the quietest powertrain on the market today. My friends cant believe the quickness, comfort, and quiet ride. It has a ton of storage space behind the rear seats.

best value in its class - 2004 Saturn VUE
By gus seretis - August 29 - 10:00 amAfter comparing 7 suvs in the same class the vue gives the most value for the mony. The honda engine is quiet and has more power than necessary (not that its a bad thing.) I love driving it.

Everything an SUV should be! - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Matt in New Haven CT - July 28 - 2:00 amI initially was interested in the Vue because its one of the few cars under $30K with 5-star front and side safety ratings, and side curtain airbags. Then, I fell in love with the looks, mileage (29 MPG!), nice ride, really comfortable drivers seat, great quality all around, and amazing cargo space. Not to mention the price! Best deal you could get on a car with these features.
