This Year's Model Updates:

A new 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 3.0-liter unit. Larger 17-inch wheels and tires are now standard on the V6 AWD model and optional on the front-wheel-drive version. Antilock brakes are standard on all V6 models. The interior has been upgraded to reduce noise and now incorporates metallic and leather trim. The front seats now have seatbelt pre-tensioners and dual-stage front airbags. New entertainment choices include MP3-compatible CD players, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system (late availability).

Pros:
  • Strong V6, large doors ease entry/exit, spacious cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
Cons:
  • Bland interior, low-grade plastics, inconsistent build quality, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

Having owned this vehicle for only a month we have found it to be very suitable for our use. Our previous vehicle was a Chevy Tahoe. The Saturn is smaller and not as luxurious as the Tahoe but the cost was much less. We can get by with a smaller vehicle at the present time and it was a fair trade.

Really dont have any complaints of yet. Have been more than satisfied with all aspects of the Vue. Would buy another. With the price of gas as it is and the fact that we need a four wheel or All wheel drive. Gas milage is great for an SUV.

We purchased this for our daughter. We were a little concerned with a 4 cyl wondering if it had enough power. The dealer told us it had ample power and it certainly does. This has been the perfect car 5 Star Crash Rating,Inexpensive to insure, ABS brakes and all wheel drive. We love it.

  • Best I ever bought! - 2004 Saturn VUE

I went from a Dodge Caravan to a Saturn SL in 2000, thought Id died and gone to heaven! When that lease was up, I needed something larger for my family so I invested in the VUE. It may not have the best mileage (it is a mini-SUV you know)but its Way better than the Caravan I had and I havent had a single problem with it since I bought it in 2004! I really didnt think I would like an automatic transmission but it drives almost like a 5 speed and gets me everywhere I need to go at economy prices. Dont change your product Saturn, we have a winner here.

We test drove Liberty, Exterra, CRV, and Escape/Tribute. VUE was by far the best. Most powerful engine, better gas mileage (getting 21-26mpg), most cargo room, most comfortable back seat, and comfortable drive. (No experience of road noise or steering problems these experts whine about) I am 63" and have no problem sitting in back seat. Dealer incentives were the nail in the coffin. Would put the VUE in the same class as Highlander or Murano, but 5-10k less expensive. We just flipped 3000 miles and still loving it.

purchased this vue because of the roomy front access esp for the driver. sits high without having to use a ladder to get in and out. the v-6 is more than powerful enough for any road situation yet still delivers the mpg.

  • Proud to own a Vue - 2004 Saturn VUE

My Vue has become an extended family vehicle. My son and daughter and in- laws as well love to drive it. I have allowed al of them to use the Vue for vacations and trips up north. It is peppy as needed, smooth on the road, easy to handle, well balanced and as comfortable inside as any other SUV I have taken for a test drive. Funny thing. since I got mine there are now four others in the neighborhood.

After looking at the Chevy TrailBlazer, Equinox we tested the Saturn Vue. We found the controls to be easily accesable and liked the "new" styling of the interior. Many different textures, although plastic. We found the Vue to be fun to drive with excellent handling, not tiring. The electronic steering system was a little "touchy" getting use to but once we adjusted to it its great.

I bought a Saturn SUV in May 04. I cant roll down the two back windows without a LOUD wind noise coming in which is annoying. When you dont have your seat belts on why isnt there a emergency notice that reminds you to but on your seat belt? My seats have 1/2 so call leather on material. Why would you put a material thats not comfortable. It itches my legs when I wear shorts. Is there seat covers I could by without getting them custom made. Stores dont make seat covers that have arms on them Please help me before I get a rash

Outstand vehicle. Hoda engine and transmission make it possible to tow this saturn. Could offer more color choices in the future. Vue is fun to drive. Once again Saturn has come to the front of the pack by doing a consumer courtesy recall by addressing the rear wheel problem that may or may not be a problem.
