Overview & Reviews
Saturn has upgraded the Ion with new fabrics, improved plastics and a new radio with MP3 and satellite radio capability. The electric steering has been revised for improved feel at highway speeds, while the sedan's five-speed automatic and the coupe's CVT have been recalibrated for improved gear selection and response. Finally, Saturn has installed additional sound-deadening material to reduce cabin noise. A Special Edition version of the sedan provides black exterior paint, distinctive 16-inch wheels and a two-tone interior.

Awesome car! - 2004 Saturn ION
By Neefer - February 8 - 2:00 amI just recently bought a new 2004 Saturn ION 3 Quad Coupe. Ive only had this car for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. I have a VTI transmission and it is one of the smoothest rides youll ever take. The car is very roomy and very dependable. I would recommend this car to anyone.

LOADS OF FUN!!!! - 2004 Saturn ION
By Russell Buchholz - January 23 - 10:00 amI absolutely LOVE my ION. Everywhere I go, it turns heads and it is extremely fun to drive. The interior is well made, and it is quiet inside. Handling and steering is up to the par of much more expensive vehicles. Interior legroom is expansive however the rear legroom is non existent so if you have a family look elsewhere!! Acceleration is 0-60 in 7 seconds with the manual transmission, and the car is a BLAST to drive. All in All Saturn has a winner on its hands. And by the way YOU WILL LOVE THE DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE!!

Excellent car - 2004 Saturn ION
By JC2003 - December 21 - 2:00 amLove it, love it. Traded in a 1990 Pontiac Grandam which I was the original & only owner. Love this car more. Peepy engine. Engine feels more powerful then 140HP. Fun to drive. Roomy interior. Large trunk space. Excellent heating system. Enjoyed the buying experience. I see myself in the future buying another Saturn, possibly the VUE.

I love my car - 2004 Saturn ION
By princessalica - November 24 - 10:16 amMy car gets excellent mileage, which is a big advantage with the price of gas now. Its comfortable. I bought it used from a Honda dealership and the only probelm I have is the stereo. I dont know why, but sometimes I wont read a disk, actually more often than not. When it is working, it is a great mp3 player, and it sounds great. Its the only probelm I have.

Love my Ion 3 - 2004 Saturn ION
By AJ - November 10 - 7:46 amFor the money, this is a great car! I bought it for work travel and the gas mileage. Im not disappointed. I average 30 MPG and have gone as high as 39MPG on the highway. Contrary to the expert reviews, it is fun to drive, comfortable, and I especially like the center gauge placement. I have it serviced at the dealer and they are great. In two years when I am done with it, I will give it to my son. Looked at Honda, Toyota and Mazda 3. For the price, you cant beat all of the features.

The Deal of the Century - 2004 Saturn ION
By Ken the Auto Tech - November 4 - 10:00 amThe Ion 1 is the deal of the century for a $12000 car. It has a great suspension, a lot of pep, great gas mileage, an outstanding designed exterior especially in nickle silver, a good solid interior that isnt cheesy looking, great visiblity, the coldest a/c unit I have ever had the pleasure to use, the turning radius is unbelievably tight (almost pivots on the rear wheels), the manual transmission and clutch are a great team. This list could go on and on but I just ran out of room

ION 3 - 2004 Saturn ION
By FONTENOT - September 22 - 10:00 amI am hoping to get as good of reliability with this Saturn as the previous ones. My last Saturn had 260,000 miles before I sold it. The automatic transmission takes getting used to. The RPMs decline when the speedometer is increasing. I think this means I am utilizing the best gas mileage possible. There is no lack of zoom with this phenomemon.
