This Year's Model Updates:

Saturn has upgraded the Ion with new fabrics, improved plastics and a new radio with MP3 and satellite radio capability. The electric steering has been revised for improved feel at highway speeds, while the sedan's five-speed automatic and the coupe's CVT have been recalibrated for improved gear selection and response. Finally, Saturn has installed additional sound-deadening material to reduce cabin noise. A Special Edition version of the sedan provides black exterior paint, distinctive 16-inch wheels and a two-tone interior.

  • I love my ION - 2004 Saturn ION

I had a few set backs when I first got the ION, Initially they thought it was a computer problem later we found out it was a user (me) problem. I used to get my Key stuck in the igntion. Saturn on a whole was very helpful in figuring out what was going on with the car and since this incident I havent had a problem. I love the love the car and the gadges in the center console are not a problem at all.

Had a Saturn SL1. Moved up to the Ion. 50% increase in HP. Lots of power. Love the CD/MP3 system. Drove to Boston from New York listening to 1 MP3 disc. Super. Center dash took about a week to get used to. Now, its not even noteworthy. Naturally looking to center for info. A/C is heating system works great. Not that satisfied with fuel economy in city driving. Only getting around 20 mpg. Highway, its approx. 35 mph. Handling is great. Bigger is better is definitely proper description for the tires. Has got ABS and traction control. What more can anyone ask.

I knew Id need a car that would do well traveling the interstate and not cost me a fortune in gas. Ive gotten that. Ive had problems with the key getting stuck in the ignition as well, & some electrical problems that seem to fix themselves. My mechanic cant ever find anything wrong with it, but as soon as we leave, itll misbehave again, but just as quick as it started it will stop. The door sensor was triggering the door being open, which made my alarm go off at random & my dome light go on and off which would kill my battery, so for about a week I had to unplug my battery when I parked. Then it just started working again. It has 85k miles & is still running great under the hood though.

  • One Reliable Car - 2004 Saturn ION

Purchased the car new and I essentially live in this car. Driving for work through out the midwest 12 months out of the year. Currently has 221,000 miles on it, plan to keep it till it dies and dont expect that to be very soon. I truly believe in scheduled maintenance intervals. Most reliable car my family has ever owned. Ive thought about a new car but this is too good a car to get rid of. Thank you Saturn!

  • My Blue Saturn - 2004 Saturn ION

I really like my Saturn Ion. It has sport car suspension and sport car tires. It corners very well and also has very good pickup, when needed. I feel safe in the car, it is fun to drive, the car wants to go faster. Its good to have power when I need it.

36 MPG in cruise control. Fun and comfortable to drive. For both the economically and performance minded, this is a good buy.

I bought my Saturn ION coupe in June of 2004 and I love it! I never have had a problem with it outside of regular service. I just feel that for what I paid I have gotten alot in return. I especially love the interior design and sporty feel.

I have been selling saturns for almost 7 years now and finally glad to see that we are able to build a car that will compete in the japanese import market and in most cases blow them out of the water....

  • 2nd Saturn Ive Owned!! Theyre Awesome - 2004 Saturn ION
    By -

Saturns are always reliable and economical. I am only 21 and have chosen to buy from Saturn twice. My 1996 SL1 never broke down on me and when it was time for a new one, I couldnt resist the ION Quad Coupe! Thanks Saturn!
