Overview & Reviews
Saturn has upgraded the Ion with new fabrics, improved plastics and a new radio with MP3 and satellite radio capability. The electric steering has been revised for improved feel at highway speeds, while the sedan's five-speed automatic and the coupe's CVT have been recalibrated for improved gear selection and response. Finally, Saturn has installed additional sound-deadening material to reduce cabin noise. A Special Edition version of the sedan provides black exterior paint, distinctive 16-inch wheels and a two-tone interior.

Saturn is a solid car - 2004 Saturn ION
By joew44 - December 3 - 10:00 amThis is my first manual transmission in a while. I like having the control over the engine so I can take it easy for great gas mileage or power when needed. The 2.2 has a flat torque curve with plenty of power in the low RPMs for easy shifting. Car very smooth on road. Special features like the electric steering and center mounted speedometer get more natural and easier to use as I drive the car. Definitely if youre thinking of a Saturn take advantage of the 24 hour test drive.

One sporty Sedan - 2004 Saturn ION
By Adam - October 22 - 1:40 pmIve had this car for a month and it has been great. Its quick, and the manual transmission works great. I dont know what people are talking about when they say that the car is uncomfortable, I find very comfortable. The gas mileage so far hasnt been great, but other than that the car hasnt let me down. Also there is a group called Saturn Motorsports that offers a full line of aftermarket parts. I plan on getting in contact with them and getting a few things for my new ION. This car is a great car with lots of power for its size.

Love my ION - 2004 Saturn ION
By Scott Sophos - September 20 - 2:00 amI am shocked that I do not see the Saturn ION on more "best lists". It is wonderful to drive, inexpensive, reliable, and my quad coupe ALWAYS receives comments on the streets for its design and looks.

Ion 3 Coupe - 2004 Saturn ION
By DeeBebe - September 20 - 2:00 amMy saturn ion is a great vehicle. I have a problem with feeling safe driving certain cars and I do like driving this one. It is reliable and everyone that sees the inside tells me it looks very futuristic and that it seems that Saturn is finally stepping up to the plate.

Good car for the money - 2004 Saturn ION
By Ion owner 13 - September 14 - 2:00 amI own a Saturn Ion 3. The sport tuned suspension offers a great deal of comfort. There is ample room for front seat passengers. Rear seat room is adequite for cars of this class. I have seen and experienced much worse, especially with Japanese and Korean models in this class size. Fuel mileage is good (especially freeway). Trunk capacity is amazing (largest in its class). There is finally an American competitor for the VW Jetta.
