  • My 3rd Sentra! - 2006 Nissan Sentra

I bought this car a few months ago, of which had replaced my 1993 Sentra that floated away from flood waters cause by Hurricane Katrina. Compared to my other two Sentras (a 1989, also) this years model is more stylish then the older models Ive had. The car is fun to drive, as it has always been. And is a perfect car for the new driver, because it is just as easy to drive/park as it is fun. Gas milage is still great (right now Im averaging around 27 miles to a gallon), but I find that this year model drinks a bit more gas then the others Ive owned. Also, the ride is a bit looser and the car does tend to sway during hard turns. The seats are finaly more comfortable, but still no leg room.

  • Wow - 2006 Nissan Sentra

So I bought this car after having a Cobalt SS. I loved that car and I wish Id have kept it. Ive put a hell of a lot of miles on it in the two years Ive had it, but it hasnt held up to any standard whatsoever. Ive had the a/c system replaced three times, the compressors are pieces of junk. The sub woofer for the Rockford system is made of paper so its extremely easily blown. The standard brake package stinks. Honestly the only reason I got this car is because it was the only Sentra on the lot that had a factory moonroof in it. Oh, and watch out around 70,000 miles the motor mounts just randomly break.

Leased new in Oct. 06. We bought the car strictly for putting around town. The gas mileage is excellent. We own an F150 and a 92 Lexus SC400 that love gas. So, we didnt buy for speed or sportiness, just for around town. Excellent car and our 5 year old Maxima we traded in was a solid car as well. Go Nissan.

  • Not what I expected - 2006 Nissan Sentra

Dont spend the money on audio upgrade its not worth it, the speakers sound scratchy and the bass output comes more from the front speakers than the rear subwoofer. The pilasters by the windows rattled when I bought the car. I took it to the dealership had it fixed but left passenger window still rattles a bit. The instrument cluster doesnt seem very high quality. the back seats dont have a lot of room and although the car looks big its about the same size as a mazda protege on the inside. It has limited trunk space. the car does handle real well specially when cornering, sharp turns can be tricky when accelarating because of torque steer.bottom line well powered for the price

  • My Nissan Sentra - 2006 Nissan Sentra

I bought my Sentra in 2005 brand new and I have 113,000 miles on it. It has never started up for me on the first try, have to try over and over. Already had the fuel pump replace 2 years after purchase. Ive had to have the rear shocks and springs replaced after 2 months of purchase. Ive been really good on keeping up with the maintenance on this car. The gas mileage range isnt that great except on really long trips with the A/C off! Sound system is great! The cup holders are in the worst possible spot! I do not like the way my Sentra rides, I can feel every bit of the road. There is no leg room for anyone in the back without the driver and the passengers knees to be in the dashboard.

  • Six months since purchase of Spec V... - 2006 Nissan Sentra
    By -

I have had my Spec V for 6 months. The only time I have had it in the garage was for Oil changes which I gladly perform myself. It is very reliable, I even learned to drive stick with this car and it does not seem to give. My only Mod is a NISMO Cold-Air Intake. It was definatly worth $230. The CAI does also improve gas mileage about 5-10%. The engine is so much louder after I put it on and pushed the gas to the floor. It certainly has more punch. I plan on getting at least exhaust headers and a Cat-back system.

  • Great Road Car - 2006 Nissan Sentra
    By -

I bought the 2006 Nissan Sentra five speed manual after the great experience with my wifes 2002 Pathfinder. I having been driving the car 280 miles a day since October in a new job. I average about 31 miles to the gallon. The car is fun to drive: very responsive and handles great in traffic. The interior is not luxurious but ample enough for my needs. The CD player came standard and the speaker system is great. Its the cheapest car I have ever purchased and I am quite pleased.

  • Point A to Point B with some extras - 2006 Nissan Sentra
    By -

Parents bought me this car (first one). Had it for 2 years this month. Average 29mpg 23 city / 39 highway. I usually only do 65-70mph on high way, was shocked at the mileage. I like that it has an aux. jack, which btw the 2006 infiniti doesnt even have (only included in the 2008 model). Windshield wipers leave massive streaks, but I think I needed to get that replaced. I cant ever seem to find a comfortable head rest position on long trips. Engine sometimes misfires on start up, I just have to wait a second and try again, not that big of deal. Hate the cup holders, fine for cups, but bottles fall right out on corners, also hits cd buttons because of position. 20 yo/boy/58

  • Very Nice Car - 2006 Nissan Sentra
    By -

I am very pleased with this vehicle. I traded in my 2003 Mustang. This car gets great gas mileage and is sporty. You get alot of car for under 15,000 dollars. Its a great commuter car! Plus I get free car washes and oil changes for the life of the car! I looked at other cars in the same price range but nothing came close to the Nissan Sentra. In price and in reputation.
