  • Poor manufacturing - 2006 Nissan Sentra

This vehicle overall is reliable, but there are some major issues that have convinced me to never purchase a Nissan again. 1. Computer failure at under 1000 miles 2. Wheel bearing failure of both rear wheel bearings at under 30000 miles (Dealership tried to get out of warranty repair until I showed them that the wheel bearings were specifically covered under drivetrain warranty) 3. Technical bulletin on the fuel pump that causes a hard start. This fuel pump problem of course failed just past the warranty limitation and costs dearly to replace. I recommend replacing this yourself as I fear Nissan may just replace the fuel pump assembly with another OEM "broken" assembly

I knew the 2007 Sentra was a complete redesign, and I always wanted a 2.5 Sentra. The dealer had a SpecV that listed for almost $20,000, but after all the incentives I saved thousands. This car ROCKS. Runs like a rabbit and still gets great gas mileage. Stereo sounds super. People call it outdated, but I still think the SpecV looks awesome. Mine is the Volcanic orange color. I recommend snapping up one of the 06 models before the 07 hits the lots. The dealers are selling a great little car for a song to make room.

We just bought a new Nissan Sentra 1.8S with the special edition package. I love this car. It has a really perky engine. The sound system is great...it has the 7 in dish CD player and the extra speakers. It is really sharp with the spoiler. For the price...you cant beat it. I plan on having this car for a long time. So many people have stoped me to tell how great and sporty it looks.

  • Best fun for the price - 2006 Nissan Sentra

I have only driven the car a couple days and about 250 miles, still not broken in yet. Handles great for a front driver, Brembo brake option recomended, they work excellent. Was looking for a good car under 18K and this was the only one near that price. Civic is way too overpriced for me and no other car was even close to the Spec V in that price range. It wasnt too hard to find but had to get my blue one from Birmingham (100 miles away) after another dealer sold the black one I wanted from under my dealer. No noises, nice tight solid car, no complaints as far as quality of the car for the price. Test drive one and you will know how nice they are. Buy one.

  • Should have, could have - 2006 Nissan Sentra

I bought this car considering the reputation the company has yet was and still am disappointed in the workmanship as well as the issues off the lot. I continually have a squeaking belt, my front rotors are warped which is like a bad idea of ABS brakes. The interior is noisy, the sound system seems to be getting worst. The car fails to smoothly shift between first and second gear and it is real easy to hit the shifter out of gear while going (automatic). And what is with my window always fogging up?

Bought this car for gas mileage, but was also impressed with performance from the little 1.8. Very reliable, only problem so far is the heater control lite. car is pretty comfortable for the size, the back seat is tight, but who cares I sit in the front.

From what i can tell you as far as owning this car, it is great all around. If youre in the Import Tuning scene, then this is a definite alternative to the Honda Civic SI. This car flies like its no tomorrow and it will throw your head back into the headrest. Nismo has all kinds of parts for it as well as other aftermarket companies so youll be killing most 4- bangers on the road. the engine sound is wonderful especially at the top end of the RM range band. It also handles like a dream. In short, if you buy this car, you deffinitely wont be disappointed

  • The best car Ive ever had - 2006 Nissan Sentra

The 1.8S is by far the best car I have ever had. My car has not broken down once so far, and it now has 104,000 miles on it. The CAM sensor went bad at about 85,000, but my car still never broke down in the process. The gas mileage I get is approx 34 on the HWY, and about 27 in town. My car is BRIGHT yellow, so with the spoiler, and black bra I put on the front, very sporty. The bucket seats could have a bit more padding. If you treat this car well, it will treat you well. I have taken many road trips in this car, NEVER worried about if my car will break down or not. The heat blasts me out of the car!!!!

  • Unreliable - 2006 Nissan Sentra

Im very disappointed in this car. It just got its second fuel pump about 6,000 miles ago which is going bad again, the rack and pinion had to be replaced soon after purchase, the drivers door seal leaked water and had to be replaced, the radio stopped playing out of the passenger side speakers and had to be replaced, the drivers window regulator has been replaced three times and still doesnt work properly (the dealer also broke the glass twice), the air conditioner doesnt blow cold unless your on the highway, when you turn the air conditioner on it makes a weird noise, and their is a squealing noise when you start the car and the dealer/nissan customer service are not help at all.

  • Never again - 2006 Nissan Sentra

The high price of fuel made it necessary to downsize to smaller vehicles. After owning 3 other Sentras I bought a pair of loaded 06s. The aluminum wheels and Firehawk tires are junk. I have replaced 3 rims and 4 tires because they are so poorly made the wont stand up to midwestern highways. This isnt just an expense but a danger. I am looking into the possibility of a product liability suit.
