With my new 2004 Quest, power window went “dead” after 1 month. Windshield Wiper - to date, replaced 3 times, still not “hugging” windshield. Air vents fell out during first week. Loose seat covers - after 2 months, fabric sagged as though they were used for years. Skirt under seat - left "hanging", improper installation. Radio Static on all AM stations Weather stripping comes off, occurs again even after new stripping installed. DVD pops in and out after engine shut off; a new dvd player was re-installed. Front windows rolled all way down on it’s own after I locked and left the vehicle.

  • Hate this van! - 2004 Nissan Quest

This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned. The sunroof broke, the radio has now broken 5 times, the driver-side window gets stuck, the gas tank door broke, the vents in the ceiling in the back literally fell out and the car is a piece of junk. The drivers seat is so uncomfortable my husband cant even drive the car and he is only 511" and 185 pounds. The electric sliding door works 50% of the time as does the electric back door. I would not recommend this car to my worst enemy. Something breaks daily. Then I was told that in order to take advantage of the warranty that I would have to take it to the dealer I purchased it at even though there is a closer dealer down the street. UGH!

  • Worst car ever - 2004 Nissan Quest

Everything about the 04 Nissan quest has been a disaster. The brakes go bad quickly, the windshield wiper just stopped working one day, the interior features (ceiling lights) just fall off when the doors are closed, the seats are coming apart, esp the back seats with the skirts, the tailgate door handle fell off, the compression stick in the tailgate door fell off, the radio never gets good reception... and on and on. I dont have enough characters remaining to list all the problems!!

  • Worst car I ever owned - 2004 Nissan Quest

I owned a Nissan Quest 2004 3.5 SL that has 66,556 miles, I was very happy with this car until last September, when out of the blue my Nissan will brake down in the middle of the beltway or stall if I stopped at a red light or stop sign, the engine will die completely with no warning signs, I took this car to the dealer Passport Nissan of Alexandria VA for the 3rd time yesterday because my van keep stalling any time I drive under 5mph or brake to a stop. This after I was told for 2nd time that they fixed the problem in a message they left me saying “we were able to duplicate the problem and fixed, we had to re-program the engine idle, that is fixed we drove it many times today and definitely

  • What were they thinking! - 2004 Nissan Quest

It gets plenty of looks, and the engine is strong. However it the ergonomics of this craft that werent thought through. I cant tell you how many times I have rapped my knuckles on the gear shift selector, while reaching for the other instrumentation. And a few times while in city traffic, hitting the O/D button and throwing the engine into a 600rpm jump in the attempt. The interior is also too dark, with little to no illumination while driving at night. There is also no ilumination for the multifunctions of the six switches in the steering wheel. So one must memorize there function or turn on the interior lights to use.

  • Died at 6950 - 2004 Nissan Quest

The transmission started slipping at 6950, every door rattles and the dash, the transmissions shift points are the worst I have ever driven (been driving over 40 years), there is a whistling sound around the outside mirrors, etc. Basically Nissan did a extremely poor job on designing and building this vehicle!!! I planning on getting rid of this vehicle ASAP!

  • Reliability???? - 2004 Nissan Quest

Have had this van for 3 years. Biggest complaint are tires. Nissan corporate gives you the runaround when you try to call in & complain about the substandard tire wear. Corporate tells you its a tire manufacturer problem & to call the tire manufacturer. DO NOT BUT THAT LINE FROM CORPORATE!!! They are the ones who send out the specs for tires to the tire folks. Averaging only 20K to 30K til tire replace. Were on our 5th pair of tires with only 41K miles on it. Had a complete brake job at 30K miles. CD was stuck in the CD player. Slider door seals keep detaching. Lower engine cover keeps falling off. Van sits too low to the ground. Overall maintenance & reliability are very, very poor

  • 04 Quest has known problems - 2004 Nissan Quest

One week after we bought the car the drivers window was making a noise. We had numerous rattles which were fixed then made noise again. The brake pedal made a squeaking noise. Clamps broke under the car that held the exhaust pipe in place, causing more noise while driving. The rear windows dont go down. You have to really slam the hatch sometimes to get it to close properly. Our radio was replaced after 6 months when it wouldnt turn on in cold weather. With the heat and air conditioning on their highest setting the air dribbles out. Finally, I called Nissan Corp. and they were willing to do nothing for all the times I had to bring the car in to be fixed. I got rid of it!

  • STAY AWAY FROM THIS VEHICLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 2004 Nissan Quest
    By -

After buying this vehicle I started having problems with it. There was a leak coming out of the sunglass holder anytime that it rained. After 3 times at the dealership they still havent found the source of the problem. Both sliding doors are still rattling even after the recall. This vehicle looks nice but Nissan has to get off there butt and take care of all the problems before they start selling them to the public. IM GETTING MY QUEST BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP TODAY AND TRADING IT IN TOMORROW FOR A FORD SUV. DONT BUY THIS VEHICLE EVEN IF IT IS THE LAST ONE ON EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
