  • I love this SUV - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

The 2000 Pathfinder LE is a fantastic SUV! I would tell anyone to get one. No SUV has really great fuel economy, but the Pathfinder really isnt bad at all. We bought it new in 2000 and have put close to 84,000 miles on it with NO PROBLEMS! All we have done is change breaks, tires, oil... standard stuff. Living in PA we have to deal with snow a lot and this SUV is amazing with the 4WD, it WILL make it through just about anything you can throw at it! The SUV also has a wider wheel base and a lower profile than most other SUVs which keeps it from tipping over. If you can find a used 2000 Pathfinder LE then BUY IT! This car will not let you down.

I now have around 98K on this truck. I bought it in 2003 with 23K. Overall, it has been very reliable and comfortable, but the repair bills have been adding up. I guess thats to be expected with any nine year old vehicle. Did need the exhaust system from the converter back replaced twice. Also had to go for rotors once and recently did the timing belt and water pump. The only real surprise as far as repairs was that the wheel bearings became scorched and had too much play. They were expensive as there are two sets in the front. The bearings, seals, races and a sway bar linkage was almost $1000, more than the timing belt and water pump. Still, it has never failed to start or stranded me.

  • Best Car I have ever had! - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

I have owned my Nissan Pathfinder now for nearly 3 years, and I have to say that I am very impressed. I am so impressed by the handling of the SUV, it rides as comfortable as a Cadillac or Buick and has had absolutely no problems. The gas mileage stinks, but I knew that going into it. This truly is a luxury SUV for the year. I will drive this until the wheels fall, which will probably be for a very long time, but when it does happen I will definitely buy another.

  • 160K and still going strong! - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

I bought this vehicle with 103K miles on it in 2006, I replaced the water pump and timing belt @ 105K miles, the harmonic balancer went out @ the same time and I had that replaced as well, other than that, which as far as Im concerned are just normal maintenance issues, Excellent Vehicle. I have a growing family and need a bigger vehicle, but I would love to keep this just to see how much I can get out of it.

  • Good, solid reliable SUV - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

I bought my 2000 Pathfinder used in 2003. It had 28000 miles on it when I bought it. This is my second Pathfinder, I previously owned a 1995 that needed only two repairs in the four years I owned it, and both were minor repairs. Thats what prompted me to buy another PF. I am already thinking about my third, maybe a 2003 or 2004. I will pass this one along to my son, as it is just too good to sell.

I love my pathfinder. I just wish that it got better gas mileage and with the prices of rising gas i would consider trading it in on something more economic but it was my first car and i love it. I would highly recommend this car to someone that was looking for a very reliable SUV that looks good and drives good and has the reputation that nissans have.

Ive only put tires, oil and gas in it. Today, after 79000m (mostly city miles), replaced front breaks. Car feels like new. Hope to drive another 5 years without problem :) My first SUV so can not compare it to other cars but so far Reliability is perfect.

  • Great SUV - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

I bought my 2000 with 245000 miles on it for 1700.00. After replacing the cv joints, heater core, front struts, rear shocks, front bearings and front drive shaft bearings, it is like a new car. I would drive it anywhere.

  • This thing guzzles gas!!!!! - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

This my wifes car so I just started driving it. Weve had it since 33,000miles and now were at 115,000 and weve replaced brakes, struts, fuel filler hose, tires, and oil has been changed every 5000. NOW its in need of a new knock sensor and even before this, it seemed like it drinks gas. I have a Chevy Tahoe and it does better. Im going to replace the air filter and spark plugs and see if that helps at all...All in all not a bad little SUV. Great in the snow too.

very well build automobile. not a problem worth telling, but needs either more power or better fuel economy. if its going to be slow it shouldnt get this bad of gas economy.
