Overview & Reviews
After a substantial update in the middle of the 1999 model year, the Pathfinder soldiers into the new millennium without change. However, rumor has it that later in 2000 the Pathfinder will get a massive power upgrade.
- Rugged styling, carlike interior, reliability record.
- Weak V6 engine, tight rear seat, high price tag.

My 00 Pathfinder - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By Bronxboy - August 15 - 2:00 amIm quite pleased with this vehicle. My only complaint is the underpowered engine and the abysmal gas mileage. It seems to rev a little higher than it should during any type of acceleration, and it hunts for gears when decellerating. Other than that, its fit and finish is second to none for the money. An all-around sound investment.

Pathfinder 2000 SE 4X4 - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By Sonani Onassis - August 1 - 2:00 amI have loved my Pathfiner ever since I bought it. If you dont like powerful, fast engines, pathfinders (2000 model and below) are excellent SUVs, very reliable. I feel safe and secure in them no matter what the weather conditions, though in slippery snowy and icy conditions, pathfinders have a lot of limitations when engaging 4X4, especially in turns and uphill.

Nice SUV - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By exphys - March 3 - 10:00 amBougt this SUV as an upgrade from a Nissan Frontier pick-up. Plenty of room for people, cargo and the dog. Smooth car like ride makes this SUV fun to drive. Safety of anti-lock brakes, and conveniance of on demand 4wd enhance the overall apeal of this vehicle. Excellent reliability and durability track record are a definate plus.

I absolutely love this Pathfinder - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By MBro - January 18 - 10:00 amI just bought this 2000 LE from my Aunt, Ive been loving every second of it. This vehicle has plenty of storage, versatility, and luxury features. Its loaded with everything they had at that time. Even with 153,000 miles it still sounds brand new, and no one believes me when I tell them that it has that many miles.

Happy camper - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By exjumpseater - December 12 - 3:26 pmIt has been a pleasure to own and has done everything I have need to do from towing my boat to camping and 4 wheeling. The only draw back is electrical, the power window lift on the passenger side is real slow.

Checking in-passed 100K - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By chuckfromli - October 19 - 3:03 pmMaybe I am reviewing this thing too often, LOL. Just wanted to check in as it passed 100K a month ago. Havent had to put any money into it lately, but did put about $2500 into it in 2007-2008. It got new wheel bearings all around, a new pulley, new timing belt and water pump, new exhaust, sway bar bushings, and the differential fluid changed. That was a lot of money for two years, but it hadnt really needed much until it got to be about 7 years old and had 80K on it or so. I think that pretty good. Any old car is going to need repairs. Also, I retired and now I realize that the gas mileage stinks, LOL! All those years I was driving mostly highway and getting 16. Now its all suburban and 11

Good Deal - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By Nathan Ashworth - September 8 - 10:00 amWe got this car for $13,900 with 70,000 miles on it and have loved it ever since. We did our homework on it to see that is has been awarded a Used Car Best Bet Award for its overall reliability. The seat warmers are very nice and the climate control works very well. We travel constantly for school and business and it has never skipped a beat. Overall I am very impressed with the vehicle as this is our first SUV. The power is slightly lacking in our 2000 model and I see they upped the engine size in the later models but for normal city/highway driving you wont notice it. Maybe for towing or off roading but we dont do any of that.

200o Pathfinder - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By Jeffmck - July 13 - 10:00 amThe Pathfinder has more than exceeded my expectations for comfort and reliability. Driving 35,000 miles plus per year have exposed this vehicle to every southern road condition possible. I have always been pleased with the performance and on road extreme road handling. At 87,000 miles typical maintenance and the purchase of tires have been my expenditures. I have averaged 20.5 MPG on the interstate and 16 MPG around town. Only negative response is the hard ride and limited legroom in the back seat area.
