Overview & Reviews
After a substantial update in the middle of the 1999 model year, the Pathfinder soldiers into the new millennium without change. However, rumor has it that later in 2000 the Pathfinder will get a massive power upgrade.
- Rugged styling, carlike interior, reliability record.
- Weak V6 engine, tight rear seat, high price tag.

Better with 2001 - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By MattM - June 7 - 10:00 amI bought it new as it seemed like the best value compared to domestics or the Toyota. As it is heavy, the back end can slip on corners (especially on ice). It consumes a lot of gas and is underpowered. On the up side it is very reliable and quite comfortable. I think they improved it in 2001.

Most Reliable Vehicle Ever - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By Janet Love - April 30 - 6:56 amBought my 2000 Pathfinder in 2001 used w/12K miles. Not one single problem ever. Of course, I do regular oil changes and suggested maintenance. Ive owned Toyotas, Hondas and Chevys. Very comfortable, love the Bose sound system, sunroof. Leather seats still like new.

Pathfinder Review - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By Silvio - February 13 - 10:00 amReliable, except @ 150,000km Radiator blew. Great looking truck, comfortable to drive. Not very smooth. It does not have very much power/pick-up and go because it is not the 3.5L.

Pathfinder - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By Boricua2004 - December 14 - 2:00 amExcellent design. Smoother ride than other SUVs. Strong suspension for a lightweight vehicle. Good 4X4 capabilities for flat and sand terrain. The 170HP engine not enough for hills and original tires not adequate for mud. Some cool details like power windows work just between turning engine off and opening a door. Brakes apply for a brief moment if transmission put in neutral with engine running.

Super - 2000 Nissan Pathfinder
By sil - November 30 - 2:00 amReliability is amazing, +130,000km, without a problem, truck needs more HP and torque. There is just not enough power behind the wheel.

By chuckfromlongisland - April 2 - 6:40 pmHave my 2000 LE for three years now. Only repairs were recent, warped front rotors, one oxygen sensor, and an exhaust system from the catalytic converters back. Current mileage is 66,000
