This Year's Model Updates:

For 2010, the top-line Nissan Murano LE trim level is now offered with front-wheel drive -- it was previously all-wheel drive only. All Muranos get standard keyless ignition/entry, the SL gets standard roof rails and a security system, and the LE gets a standard dual-panel sunroof. Options packages have also been revised for slightly easier ordering.

Pros:
  • High-quality cabin, spacious backseat, responsive powertrain, precise steering and confident handling, smooth ride, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Less cargo space than many rivals, compromised rear visibility.

  • Most Uncomfortable - 2010 Nissan Murano

Warning... drive this for a day or two before buying. I traded in a Ford Edge on fully loaded LE, and this was the biggest mistake I have ever made. No matter what position the power seats were in, it was just not comfortable for me. Hurt my upper-back so bad thought I was going to need traction. Ford Edge is a much nicer crossover all around. I am only 60" tall and 200 lbs, so I dont think it should be a size issue. Everything else about this car is very nice but if you skimp on the seat the other is just fluff. I have already traded it and chalking this one up to a very expensive learning experience! Try before you buy!!!

  • Buyer Beware - 2010 Nissan Murano

This was my wifes car. We both absolutely loved it. One morning at o dark thirty, my wife was on the way to work with our grandson in the car to drop him off at daycare. The car started slowing down to the point that it wouldnt go any further. My wife and grandson were stranded on a dark highway with no street lights. Bottom line, at 40000 miles the transmission went out. The car has been at the dealership for over a week now. They are waiting on a new transmission to come in. It projected to to be ready next week. Ill believe that when I see it. In the mean time, Im stuck paying $200 a week for a rental car. Nissan wont pay the rental car even though its a warranty service issue.

  • Bad Seats - 2010 Nissan Murano

Seats are very uncomfortable and do not have enough adjustments. Rear cargo area is cheap, piece of carpeted plywood covers the spare tire. Used AWD last night for the first time, it stayed engaged even at 40/45 mph, the manual says it cuts off after driving past 6 mph. I may not entirely understand the AWD feature. Rear seats recline, very nice feature for rear passengers. Very smooth car like ride. Overall a nice vehicle but the seats are a real drawback, my 2001 Pathfinder seats were much more comfortable.
