Overview & Reviews
The Maxima has been fully redesigned for 2004. It now rides on the same underpinnings as the well-received Nissan Altima. This year's Maxima is longer, wider and more powerful than the previous version.
- Roomy interior, lots of upscale options, sweet V6, available with a manual transmission.
- Some small, oddly arranged controls.

2004 Maxima SL Review - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By feyzi - July 6 - 10:00 amThis 04 Maxima SL replaced my Honda Accord Coupe. Great car, except its cheap interior materials. Plastics used for headlight and wiper controls have to go. Nissan, please add a $10 foot rest, please. Coin box would be great. Excellent stereo and computer system. Great sound quality. Fun to drive. Excellent exterior design. Great breakes.

IM IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN.... - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By hweason - June 16 - 10:00 amIve traded 3 Nissans (95 Altima, 98 Maxima andn 01 Maxima).. this car makes my 4th Nissan Vechicle. I fell in love all over again. Once I saw and drove the car I couldnt resist. The commercial about the car is very true.. "Everything has changed, Nothing has changed". The look of the car is very different.. It difinitely looks luxurious ..very roomy, stylish, comfortable, equipped.. However the performance is still as incredible as its always been (if not even better)!!!

An amazing ride - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Eburt - June 11 - 10:00 amI picked up my 04 Max on 8/2 and am completely in awe of it - whether driving it or just looking at it in the driveway. Although I had preferred the 6-speed, the automatic has more than enough jump from a stop and the pick-up from 60-80 is equally impressive.

Couldnt Be Happier - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Patrick Hand - May 22 - 2:10 amWhat can i say. I looked at every kind of car BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Acura, and many other cars. For the money and quality you cant beat the Max. For acceleration it killed all the other cars that I tested. In a little over 5 months I have put 7200 miles on the car and no problems with it at all. The sound system is awesome along with the display of the navigation Def get the navigation it is worth it.

My Extreme Driving Machine - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Meatball - May 18 - 10:00 amIve owned a 2004 for 36 months and the handling as well as speed exceed expectations for an auto in this price range. Interior is roomy, while avoiding stodginess and sound system successfully drives the full range of sound at any volume. On a scale of 1- 10, Id rate my Extreme Driving Machine a 20!! There is nothing to dislike. Once drivers are aware and manage the unfortunate torque steer, the car is very forgiving!! The Maxima is fun to drive, quick and even my 18 year old son wants to drive my Extreme Driving Machine . . . but I always refuse!!
