Overview & Reviews
Although the Endeavor is an all-new vehicle for 2004, an upgraded 2004.5 model was released midway through the year to address some initial shortcomings. The list of upgrades includes more horsepower (225), daytime running lamps, advanced dual-stage front airbags and a tire-pressure monitor as standard. An improved ABS system (with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and traction control) is now available on LS 2WD models and standard on XLS 2WD and Limited 2WD. A full-size spare with alloy wheel and a towing prep package is now standard on LS AWD (optional LS 2WD) and XLS. Standard side-impact airbags for front-seat passengers have been added to the Endeavor XLS. Rounding out the 2004.5 changes are a handful of new options, including a rear-seat DVD entertainment system for XLS and Limited, and traction and stability control for the Limited AWD.
- Carlike ride, roomy seating front and rear, torquey V6 power plant, solid build and materials quality, good crash test scores.
- Less cargo capacity than the class leaders, polarizing interior design.

gas hog - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By gas hog - September 30 - 10:00 amI have a 2004 awd ls model. over all great suv. A little disapointed in the performance in snow!felt it did not get very good traction when in a turn, it had a tendency to loose tracion and slide very easy. This automobile gets rotten fuel economy and I am still trying to figure out why a v6 engine needs to run on 91 octane or higher? Big disapointment here with high test in the midwest at 2.26a gal.

Wake Up and Drive! - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By Gloria Caldas - August 12 - 10:00 amI just traded in my 2001 Diamante for the 2004.5 Endeavor and for the first time in my life, I havent suffered from buyers remorse after a major purchase. Id wanted a mid-sized SUV for some time and have test driven quite a few. Finally went to Mitsubishe to check out the Endeavor and was extremely pleased by the way it handles. Feels more like a car than a truck. The Endeavor is brand new so Ill be back after a couple of months to let you know how its behaving!

04 endeavor - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By Lucas - March 21 - 1:43 amLike everyone else, I have big problems w/ the paint. I also have big problems w/ the quality of the interior. Very poor plastic throughout. Lots of fading. Very noisy ride on the freeway. Definitely need to improve the quietness for the interior. Needs air vents for the rear seats in the hot Arizona desert.

My Endeavor - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By rebcurless - January 27 - 10:00 amGreat car-like SUV. Attractive styling, good handling and good gas mileage for an SUV. Nice audio equipment. However, Ive only had the vehicle for 4 weeks, and already the power windows have failed and an interior storage compartment has broken.

Overall Excellent - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By NS - January 27 - 3:40 amMy 2007 Endeavor XLS is an excellent drive. It has a very smooth transmission. It provides excellent handling around the corners, almost like a car.

My first SUV! - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By gzane711 - September 9 - 2:00 amAfter week one, and only have about 300 miles on it, the skies opened up and we got 6" of snow! I was like a kid in a candy store! I found the Endeavors handling in the snow outstanding. Great visibilty. My son likes the DVD.

Mits - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By Willyorca - June 11 - 10:00 amThis is a nice vehicle, dont get me wrong, but dont go from a full size V8 SUV to this . I miss the power of my old vehicle although I love the styling- and radio-in this one. Very upset by the crummy gas mileage-the big V8 Chevy did better.

Endeavor solid as a rock! - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By Rocketman in Texas - April 3 - 10:00 amWeve had it about 4 weeks now, and like it more than when we bought it. Rides great, more than adequate power, plenty of head, leg, hip, and shoulder room. Nicely equipped for an entry level model. This being a car-based SUV rather than a truck-based model, it rides better than most truck-based SUVs. Corners more like a small sedan, despite being significantly taller than most. Styling, especially exterior styling, is great. These vehicles tend to stand out a litle from the crowd, and at least for the time being, you dont see yourself coming every time you get on the street, as you would in an Explorer.

NOISE! NOISE! NOISE! - 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
By Impulse buyer - March 16 - 2:00 amHandling is excellent. Drives like a car. But driving in freeway is annoying. Wind noise, you have to put the radio to higher volume just to muff the noise from the wind. I drove different suvs, but nothing compared to this one as far as wind noise. Hope Mitsubishi will do a recall on this kind of problem.
